If so I’m not familiar with how to use it to get where I want with the text

Thanks Christine, I’m not referring to the navigation bar or admin bar, there was a drop down menu appearing in the header after I upgraded to the latest version of wordpress which has mysteriously now disappeared?? I am mystified, but seeing as it no longer appears I will show this thread as resolved. Alan

Further to my last I have just googled custom css and downloaded a plug in to allow me to do what you advised and it worked perfectly with the image, thank you. However, the you tube ‘window’ is still squashed up?

I added that code to style css but not sure if that was what you meant by the the ‘custom’ css section?

despite this the image and youtube clip display are still being ‘squashed’ on the home page whereas the images on the porfolio page are displayed perfectly…

Any more ideas?

Thanks Peter, I have now disabled a couple of plug ins that were activated but not used so I will see if that has worked (unfortunately I haven’t got an iphone and will have to wait until I can get someone else to check) and then if this hasn’t resolved this issue I will disable the plug in that is active (a form generator)
