In reply to: [QQWorld Auto Save Images] File renamed according to post nameHi there!
1. Oopps. Sorry – great! Seems it wasn’t worked. Reinstalled it, hope it will now.
I essential time-keeping proposal:
Is it possible to add check-box to grab images from links like:
https://ab-foto.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/Facebook-Cover-Photo-Red-Bull2-345×163.jpg
Let me explain:
Me or my writers collecting images to be inserted in articles.
With option indicated before we saving at least 30 seconds per image – no need to push “add media-…..”. And no need to wait preview to be loaded, and all other stuff.
And than: multiply 30 seconds, which is 0.5 minutes per, example 30 images in my article: it is 15!!!!!!! minutes just for image inserting.
Even if somebody with very fast fingers spending 15 seconds – it is still 7.5 minutes per article.I hope it is possible, and at a glance it seems no such a big effort to implement: just add option\checkbox to parse link like https://blah-blah-blah.(jpg|jpeg|png|gif|whatever else image format exists)
I’m sure many people will appreciate it, not only us producing articles with huge amount of images ??

One more suggestion. While I saving files – sometimes they are really huge!
For example 5 megs 5000×36000
But plugin still saving it without resize and without renaming. It will be great to have option to downsize the image to some dimensions.
For example option like:
Resize downloaded originals to 1200×1200 with the same proportions, if they are biggerOne more option (I did nor found it in WP functionality) – is to provide under the image links to its attachment page – in case we are using option to keep original links, on click people will leave us.
OR, like this (just another way):
– if we choosing to preserve original image links – than in post we have link to our attachment page, and FROM attachment page we will have link to its original location, from the image itself or from the text link string below. That will be really cool for all bloggers who trying to do “image-gallery posts” ??

In reply to: [QQWorld Auto Save Images] File renamed according to post nameGreat, it works! Thanks, cool job. Hope I’ll be able to do such things with PHP and WordPress.
But now I figured out next thing, it appears to be not good for SEO:
While “choosing ling to attachment page”
The link appears to be like https://example.com/?attachment_id=1472
instead of permalink structure, choosed by me for all my blogs. But after publishing (I assume that permalinks are enabled) it appears to be a “custom link”, and proper link to the attachment page is like https://example.com/post_URL/image_name/
If it was done to avoid collisions like unable to see images from unpublished posts – link like https://example.com/post_URL/image_name/ works even when the status of the post is “Draft”
All thing should be done:
replace string “?attachment_id=1472” with “post_URL/image_name/” during autosaving of the images.Hope it will help you to improve your plugin!
Bye!

In addition:
is it possible just to have option for alt and browser title tags, without renaming images?
more flexible, easier to post images with preserved filenames and links to avoid copyright issues, but with proper tags.
