Hi there – many thanks for replying.

A general query really – we have some clients with WPML sites and I am considering Pressidium for them. Wondered if anyone had actually implemented Pressidium in anger on a WPML site? Is it known to work? Are there any known issues? Is the ‘Strings’ plugin required etc?

Interesting: I think I have identified a scenario to replicate / demonstrate the problem:-

1. View site having NOT declared any cookie preferences (i.e. I see the cookie consent box)
2. Click ‘Cookie Settings’ link to launch settings panel
3. Slide the ‘Performance & Analytics cookies’ switch ON and then OFF again
4. Click no other buttons apart from the Close button (X) (top right)
5. Click ‘Cookie Settings’ link again to launch settings panel once again
6. Slider for ‘Strictly Necessary cookies’ is in the OFF position!

However, If i then hit refresh in the browser, the ‘Strictly Necessary’ slider is set to ‘ON’ again.

I can replicate behavior in 2 browsers on Ubuntu Linux:

Firefox 132.0 (64bit)

CHROME Version 131.0.6778.85 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Have I found an odd edge case here?

Don’t know of it will help, but I use this plugin in addition to Pressidium. It simply modifies any Youtube URLs to ‘No Cookie Privacy’ mode. It gets rid of a host of bloody Youtube cookies!

Your’e right – I had this issue.

In case it helps quick fix is below.

Cookie floating little button needed its z index fixed to appear over page content in some themes.

Added in Appearance / Customise / Additional CSS:

pressidium-floating-button { z-index:999; }

/* END MOD */

For what it’s worth I fixed my issue.

Not sure if it helps you out, but I simply needed to activate Google Consent Mode in ‘Consent Mode’ (‘Google Consent Mode v2 (GCM’)… and selecting ‘Google tag (gtag.js)’

Seems to have done the job, (although I wish I understood this better technically).

I seem to have a similar problem – did you find out what was causing your issue?

I have a Google analytics cookie that comes back when I hit refresh or navigate to another page even though I have saved ‘Reject all’.

Understood & my apologies. The premium plugin authors seemed difficult to contact – although I have managed to get hold of them now to be fair.

The license keys for the premium add ons to this plugin can indeed be switched between a staging site and a live site.
