Hi,
please note that switching from 0.9.5 to your GitHub version (0.9.9) caused plugin configuration to be lost.

This caused further data loss to my client and more work to me.

Fortunately I had saved Json configuration file, so I could recover plugin configuration.
I hope the bug will be fixed as soon as possible.

this is not an option to me.

I use this plugin on a customer’s production site.

Since the plugin was updated to version 0.9.6, and the bug occurred, my client has suffered a significant data loss. Retrieving those data took some work.

Debugging the plugin to give you detailed information about the bug took hours.
Moreover if the bug is not solved other users could face similar issues.

As a matter of fact the reliability and reputation of a plugin depends on the developer’s ability to fix bugs.

I did some extended debugging and found what is causing the issue.

It is not caused by the number of shorcodes, nor by their position in PDF template as I supposed, it is caused by their value.

NOTE: the issue seems to affect only checkbox fileds.

How to replicate the issue:

1. Create a simple form with CF7 containing a text field and a checkbox field, like this:
<p>[text mytext]</p>
<p>[checkbox mycheckbox use_label_element exclusive “Test/1” “test2”]</p>
<p>[submit “Submit”]</p>

2. Configure “Send PDF for Contact Form 7” to attach a PDF file that shows those fields, just like this:
Text value: [mytext]
Checkbox value: [mycheckbox]

3. Put your CF7 form into a page, go to that page, write “a/b” in the textfield and choose “Test/1” for the checkbox then submit the form

4. Check your mail and open attached PDF file. You will get this:
Text value: a/b
Checkbox value:

So if you put a slash “/” in the checkbox field value then it won’t show up in PDF.

Please note: I used version 0.9.9 for testing, the issue goes away downgrading to version 0.9.5

I did some more investigations and here ius wat i found.

Strangely enough, the issue only occurs using Firefox Developer Edition browser.
Using a different browser, it just worked!

Visto che avete testato la compatibilità del plugin sarebbe opportuno rilasciare una nuova versione in modo da darne notizia nel changelog.

Credo abbia senso anche se il codice non è stato toccato, diversi sviluppatori lo fanno e lo trovo molto utile.

Admin should be given the rights to decide which roles can clear the cache.

most of WP users do use advanced layout builders such as Page builder, Visual composer, Elementor, Divi, oxygen etc…

Since with these builders you can show post lists almost anywhere in your website (pages, posts, custom post types, widgets, etc…) updating WP archives is not enough.

In my client’s website I use Enfold theme with it’s Advanced Layout Builder.

In this page, for example, you can see 13 post lists each one showing latest 4 posts from 13 different post categories in a single page:

None of them will be updated by Automatic Cache Purge.

I’ve changed the status to “not resolved” for the last time, so you can read this.

There are thousands of plugins translated into Italian out there, and none that I am aware of show this issue other than yours, so I’m quite sure there must be a different approach that actually works.

I suggest you to look at what others do.

Anyway, I sincerely appreciate your effort in developing popup maker plugin, so if you really think you can’t fix it then forget it, I’ll do the same.

This issue appears to be resolved with Yoast’s 15.9.2 release
