But how can I make it appear simply as https://www.website.com/it and not https://www.website.com/it/home?
Now home page in English (default language) is https://www.website.com (slug is “home” but it doesn’t appear in the permalink) but home page in Italian is https://www.website.com/it/home-2 (because obviously “home” already exists in Eng version). How can I make it appear simply as https://www.website.com/it?Thanks

They link to the same generated page, not to the main website where they’re supposed to link. If the link INSTALLAZIONE is supposed to link to the page https://www.website.it/installazione in the normal header/menu on all the website pages, in the generated page https://www.website.it/generated-page it links to the same generated page https://www.website.it/generated-page.
