Regarding Custom Post Types permalinks, I am afraid that is the standard WordPress behaviour. There are third party plugins that allow to change this behaviour like Custom Post Type Permalinks (note that we do not have any relationship with this plugin’s author).

We are sorry for the inconvenience but is out of scope changing this behaviour for Oxford Debate.

This is not a known issue. Which WP and Oxford Debate version are you using? Do you have any other plugins installed? If so, please try deactivating these plugins one by one to identify possible conflicts with our plugin.

First of all, sorry for the delay.

We haven’t been able to reproduce the error. We installed the ‘modern’ theme on a WP 4.6.1 and used the current version of OxD. We tried with several browsers and everything seems alright. We opened the console of Internet Explorer and I had the same result.

Could you please give us more info? Maybe if we had your url it could give us some clues.

You are right, author capabilities to create debates/proposals are not set yet, but they will be in next version. In the meantime, you could work with editor role. Editors can create and edit debates/proposals.

Thank you for downloading our plugin. The last version has changed the way Oxford Debate works. It is now possible to add Proposals the same way you would add a new Debate or Post. The Proposals menu is right under Debates menu.

Once you have added a Proposal, you will be able to link it at the debate by selecting it from the dropdown in the Debate edit page. It is also possible to assign different colours for each Proposal.

As for the “screen options” dropdown and adding a new category from the edit page, I am not able to reproduce the error. You could provide us a temporary WP user in order to take a look at that from the inside. If you do that, please email us at [email protected].

Regarding the ability to create proposals and debates, I think you are right and we will review the roles and permissions for them. We will be soon releasing a new version fixing that and with many other improvements.
