I am slow with testing new wordpress features, and later I will get back with more ideas. First I was angry that for this new version everthing failed to load, just later understanding it needs a complete configuration.
Right now I just want to say I really appreciate the new Floating Sharebar, being available with transparency also on mobile.

A question!
In previous version I modified this option in wp-socializer php file:
xfbml=1, and added Facebook code in header.php
Momentarily I don’t know how to create a child theme. It could be useful to provide an option: Load JavaScript SDK?.
That would avoid the trouble of child themes and modifying files for so many beginners.

Your work is much appreciated. I like the new wp-socializer, so I will donate a litlle in a few weeks. Thank you!

Page is loading now, but it’s not loading the pictures. And after enabling back the option for iframes/videos, iframes are also missing.

Another thing… I used to modify before this piece of code in the php file, as I enabled Cloudflare RocketLoader for my clients.

A client came back angry at me she can’t access the site anymore, there are no more ressources. She’s a lay person about web and navigation, not getting to deep into security and techical terms, she just want her site to be available to visitors.

A short investigation revealed it was just the firewall. I woukd REALLY prefer other values. I could set a more convenient limit for humans, like 7-8 visits per minute. But this setting is just plain dumb, she was blocked at 5 visits/minute.

Just be sure you unchecked all options about passwords:

Check the strength of passwords
Enforce strong passwords
Check password strength on profile update.

I am also trying to solve this mistery. It’s working fine on a server of my client. But on my own shared hosting account… not:

For one site I have, it doesn’t work simultaneously with CF Flexible SSL Enabled.

One more thing! Why did you published so many plugins, when in fact they do the same simple things? People don’t know which one to choose ??

It has just been updated. But what’s that got to do with the theme ??
It’s just a plugin that developer considered it could add some cool features to the editor, therefore a better output on the frontside.

I realized it was due to a small remnant lnk file from site cache, named from the old url slug. It works with both examples! MY BAD ??

The only issue I assume would be response delay.
.htaccess content is processed before any other request to server, so it is as fast as possible. I noticed a 450ms delay using this redirects (using also Cloudflare), and I suppose it’s not good for ranking in google Search.
but at least I know that my .htaccess content is reduced to minimum, and server load is also low.

Don’t waste your previous work for nothing. I encountered the same problem, and finally sort it out.
Yoast specified:

*First clear your browser cache.
*Then clear your site cache if you have one, even for javascript/CSS if you minify/concatenate admin side.
*Use Cloudflare caching for admin side? Disable that also.

I rolled back to Yoast 2.5.3, instead of disabling one of the plugins.
