Just to add that comments are still not visible on Safari. The user has to uncheck the default option in preferences-> “prevent cross-site tracking”. I guess there’s no way to bypass that, right?

If you allow, I can propose a solution fro what you ask, combining two excellent plugins. Responsive Gallery Grid (for the gallery) and Ari Fancy lightbox (for the lightbox). I am pro user in both for my website and haven’t found any faster and better gallery functionality.

Update: if you use wp-rocket setting “Remove unused CSS” you may exclude the following id/class (one per line) in order to work flawlessly.

I resolved the issue. The function “Remove Unused CSS (Beta)” in wp-rocket causes many issues

I found the solution! Somehow my server was set to nginx instead of Apache. I wasn’t aware that this could cause malfunction of many plugins. Thank you for your time and sorry for the trouble. Maybe this will help more users.

Yes I tried everything. Even the health-check & troubleshoot plugin.
I downgraded WordPress using WP downgrade plug-in without other issues. I think this is not relevant to the problem
