In reply to: [Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons] advice my goapindul.funThanks for reaching out @alexapindul Here are our suggestions:
- Header or Navigation Bar: Given that the website is about tourism and adventure, social sharing could be a significant aspect. Placing social media icons in the header can make them immediately visible to visitors.
- Footer: The footer is a standard place for social media icons. It’s less intrusive but still easily accessible for those looking to follow or share content.
- After Each Activity Description: Since the website offers various activities, placing social media icons after the description of each could encourage sharing specific adventures.
- Booking Confirmation Page: After someone has made a booking, they are likely excited about their upcoming adventure. This is a good time to prompt them to share their plans on social media.
- Blog Section: If someone finds a blog post helpful or interesting, they might want to share it. Placing social media icons at the end of blog posts can facilitate this.
- Contact Us Page: The website has a “Kontak Kami” section. Adding social media icons here can offer an alternative way for visitors to get in touch or follow updates.
- Floating Social Media Bar: A floating bar that scrolls with the user can serve as a constant reminder to share the website’s exciting content.
Thanks for reaching out! Our developers will look into this issue. In the meantime, you can insert the icons manually using the USM shortcode on your posts/pages instead of using the automatic placement option. Doing so will eliminate the issue of duplicate icons.
Thanks for reaching out @dimasmitsubishi!
Here are some Social Media Icon placement suggestions:
- Header or Navigation Bar: The top of the website is usually the first place visitors look. Placing social media icons here ensures maximum visibility. The website already has “Follow Us” with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram icons, but they are not very prominent. Making them more visible could help.
- Footer: This is another common place where visitors expect to find social media icons. The website does have social media links in the footer, but again, making them more noticeable could be beneficial.
- Sidebar: If the website has a sidebar, this can be an excellent place for social media icons. It’s less intrusive but still visible as users scroll down the page.
- End of Articles or Product Descriptions: After reading an article or product description, visitors might want to share what they’ve just read. Placing social media icons at the end of these sections can encourage sharing.
- Floating Social Media Bar: This is a bar that stays visible while visitors scroll down the page. It’s a constant reminder for them to share the content.
- Contact Us Page: Since the website has a “Hubungi Kami” (Contact Us) section, adding social media icons here would also be a good idea, as people looking to get in touch might prefer social media.
- Pop-Up or Modal Window: A well-timed pop-up asking to follow your social media channels can be effective, especially if you offer some incentive like a discount.

In reply to: [Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons] Advice for 7smview.comSocial media icons can play a crucial role in increasing user engagement and sharing deals. Here are some suggestions on where to place the social icons:
- Header or Footer: This is the most common placement and ensures visibility regardless of the page the user is on.
- Sidebar: A floating sidebar that moves as the user scrolls can be effective, especially on pages with long lists of deals or articles.
- Deal Pages: Placing social share icons directly on individual deal pages can encourage users to share specific deals they find appealing.
- Blog Posts: If the website has a blog, social icons can be included at the end of each post to encourage sharing.

In reply to: [Social Media Share Buttons & Social Sharing Icons] Excluding Post CategoriesYou can manually insert the icons where you’d like them to appear, instead of using the automatic placement options as a workaround.
If you wish to specify which pages should or should not display the icons, you can do so using this plugin: UltimatelySocial Premium.
Thanks for your question @vanillaweb. Yes, the feature to define the sharing texts and images is available only in the premium plugin.
