the_excerpt()
to display the content of the posts, for the home and archive page and the tag more not working with this function.
I’m working to add the possibility to set which function using to display the content of the posts.

while the name of demo present on ThemeinProgress is only “Sueva” and not “Sueva Free”…

I’m not sure i understand your request, if you want to display only menu and footer for homepage (with an image background) you can replace all content into index.php with
