I ad this link with the file block. A dialog pops up where I can choose from the media library and I did, resulting in a link and a button. The link works good, the button not. I leave the situation on this page so you can see it. Most of the other pages I replaced it witha red button and there it works OK.

when downloading thhe file from the link it is right, fil.zip when downloading with the button it’s just file. The zip extension is gone. I now solved it by using another button but one may expect problems from other users also.

Isn’t that turning things around? It’s compatibel now and not with Gutenberg. For me that means the compatibility issue is Gutenberg’s. It would be the same when Worpress stops after installing Gutenberg and saying Worpress is the problem.

I simply enabled cf7 globaly and dissabled it on all post types. On the page with cf7 I enabled it and it work very good. This way it is almost globally disabled.

What exited me most was the clean interface and how light is seemed to work. I also saw room for improvement but you are still working on the project. For instance making a link to the original picture I had to insert a link while in the old situation I could give it a target rigt away.

In my opinion also html code could be insterted. Maybe I’m an average user but for me it was enough to be very hopefull.

Also it is known that every change gives resistance. I’ve seen it in other implementation project, now that things are not new anymore people don’t want to go back, so that gives hope for Gutenberg.

By the way, I can freely switch between the old and the new editor, mayby it should stay that way so everybody can be happy!

I made that link myself to test, the link of the plugin was lower on the page. There was a second link. I removed my own made link and it’s now generated by the plugin, and you will see no opening in a new window and no nofollow.

problem solved! Ther was a conflict with an other pugin called EverlightBox that was used for other images. Thanks for your help.

Problem is solved, a lazyload plugin caused a conflict, most do by the way. I’ve installed one called Speed Up – Lazy Load, this one can be switched off on certain pages with a comment.
Thought you should know this.
