  • Wow, thanks. This post was very helpful for me as well with a totally different file. I love simple solutions!

I am having the same problem as someone else had, but no one has offered a solution that I see. When I enter the example function “amm_my_first_go”, I get an error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/alishahu/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/amm/amm_extras.php on line 92

I have changed bits and pieces, deleted lines, and the only thing that doesn’t bring up this error on the last line of the file is when I leave the file as it originally was (without the function at all). There is not a “$” in the last line.

    Please help!

I’m having the same problem, and I just upgraded to wordpress 1.5. I wish someone would reply to this!!

Thanks podz for the link. I’m pretty sure that is the problem, but I’m just not sure how to fix it. It sounds complicated. I have worked with CSS, but I find altering templates and CSS in WP intimidating. I do feel better knowing about the problem. ??

To macmanx: It is not very practical to suggest someone switch to Firefox and firefox only. I tried that on the suggestion of a computer-savvy friend of mine, but I had tons of problems with large sites like those of large online stores. Besides, not everyone reading my blog is going to be using Firefox :). Thanks though.
