I had this issue and have changed the background colour/border in the customise options (for “background colour”) so that it’s white. So it’s not obvious until you scroll, but then the white border is very obvious at the top and bottom of the page. Is there a way to get rid of this border/background entirely? I’ve tried adding various code to ‘Additional CSS’, including messing around with code for the “body” and “site-inner” but I don’t understand the code enough. I also tried coding to make it transparent but that didn’t work either.

I knew I had to do something else with the CSS but I didn’t know how to code for when the menu is open – so thanks for explaining that.

@stefancotitosu?I just updated a test website I have which uses Hestia and I have the same homepage image problem with version 3.0.27. I added that code to the end of my functions.php file as you suggested and it has fixed the problem for now.

Obviously as @rodrigogonzales says, this is not a viable solution long-term but hopefully it helps you figure out the problem.

@rodrigogonzales Thanks for letting us know and saving us the hassle of updating then downgrading again. I can’t face looking for another theme as I did a lot of custom coding to this one.

Do you have HestiaPro or are you using the free version? I’m using the free version and I’m starting to wonder if Themeisle just don’t care about their free users. Doesn’t make me inclined to give them any money in future though!

I am having the same problem on a website I manage for an organisation – the statue of liberty image is really not appropriate and there is no way for me even to remove the image completely. Surely you can fix this bug quickly as it seriously compromises the impact of all our websites. I have previously found ThemeIsle to be reliable but this is pretty shoddy work.

UPDATE: I’ve temporarily installed a plugin to hide the footer text but it still leaves a “/” which I can’t get rid of. Would prefer to use code and do it properly so still looking for help with this. Cheers.

So this is now resolved.
