In reply to: The Comment Closing Bug is BACK!!!I don’t think it’s theme specific. There are many people who’ve had this problem over the years and I don’t know of anyone else using Thesis who has had it. I’ve checked with the Thesis developer’s repeatedly. Have not ever seen anyone else with this issue on the Thesis boards.

In reply to: Clarifying wp-pass and wp-register questions – hackedesmi, thank you for your help. I am not trying to be a bother or problem to you and wish you were not upset at my questions.
As I said, I AM working through those steps. For some of us doing these things are more difficult than they are for you. And doing them on a multisite is even more difficult. I have someone helping me go through the steps and am trying to gather as much info as I can based on what I was told so that when we work together, I will have the needed info.
Since I was told the files were “injected” into my install, I have no way of knowing what part of an install is correct and what part is “injected.” So — unless I understand something of what is going on —?looking at the installed files won’t tell me whether the files are supposed to be there or not.
Thank you for your assistance.

In reply to: Site hacked multiple timesThank you. I’m working through the links you gave.
One question, I read that the www folder is just a shortcut to the public_html folder. But HostGator is telling me that the WordPress in the public_html folder is an OLD version, even though the folder on my site is the current version.

In reply to: The Comment Closing Bug is BACK!!!Just wanted to keep the log going. Yes, both blogs closed again in the last day or two.
Has ANYONE heard about a cause/solution?
BTW, when I’m logged in as the admin, it looks great. But logging in under another account and it all changes.
Same problem. As the admin I can login and post. No one else can post or comment, even when registered, logged in, and permissions set to allow that.
Boo.

In reply to: The Comment Closing Bug is BACK!!!Yes, I did contact their support (beginning in October of 2010).
As far as we can tell, it’s not Thesis. And you can see from the other threads, that other themes are involved.
