I’m having the same problem. I click Choose Logo, a Window opens and it allows you to view the media uploads but it does not allow you to select a file. I tried uploading a new version of the logo in that Window and, while it did upload, it doesn’t display. The AMP on the site is working as in this example: https://www.fad.co.za/2015/10/18/fad-back-in-print/amp/

The page looks just as I want it but the adjusted top margin setting seems to have also raised the link area of the menu bar. The bottom half of the bar is now not covered the link area as before. Resetting the margin to zero fixes the problem so I know it’s that.

I can’t find the Blog List Options you refer to. As I say, It’s set to 10 in the Settings => Reading section.

Thanks for the answer. Would it be possible to suppress the logo on the Home page? I want the site title to be reflected in my image slider and it is not optimal to have it in the logo area as well.

It was just like you said. For anyone else with the problem the following alters both the background and the hover colors:

#nav-main ul.sf-menu {
    background: #000000;
}

#nav-main ul.sf-menu a:hover {
    background: #4A4A4A;
}

@freelance: I can’t export from inside WordPress but I have access to the hosts dbase control panel. Do you know if I can I import posts from the database once saved on my PC, if there’s more than one blog stored in it? There are three in fact.

@reuben: I don’t find a line like that in my in my includes/admin.php file. What I’ve got is:

@freelance: Thanks for the link. My thought is that, if all these attempts fail, is to import the posts and pages into a blog at WordPress.com burn and reinstall WordPress on my domain, and re-import the content.

@rich: replacing the .htaccess has resulted in page links coming alive and full posts being displayed. Thanks there.

I get ‘/usr/www/users/allanj/fn’ from the script you sent. Don’t know why it doesn’t show the wp-admin folder too, seeing that the script is running in that folder…

Rick: Thanks, have done and uploaded. There has been an improvement in that the server error has been eliminated and the read more links on the home page now work, but the abspath error message is back on the admin page.

/usr/www/users/allanj/fn/wp-admin

In fact, if you look at the bookmark file that error message says is missing, it’s actually there:
