did you publish the page you want to use as a static frontpage or is it still saved as concept?

After publishing you’ll see the dropdown and yuo are able to choose that page.

I got an GWT account and no reports there that could explain the low ranking. no crawl errors, dead links or slow pages nothing of that. Regarding the links that might be the case but then again I got another site for three years with no backlinks at all and it ranks 4 or 5 for a keyword that has a lot of competition.

I really think it has smt to do with the wordpress settings or headspace cause everytihng else is ok. Of course I know ranking on the first page of google is hard but with my content and the frequency of posting and maintaining my site it should be at least page 2 not page 5 or 6.

Thanks for your reply, I swapped to wordpress about 4 months ago. I also used al 301 redirects in my htacces so the old ones should all be covered and that shouldn’t effect my rankings. According to the blackhat you mentioning I know it is a tough competition but in all honesty my blog uses non of that I want to provide my readers with open and (as far as possible) objective, and unique content. Every single word on my blog is written by me and there are no hidden techniques other then the use of Headspace but I do not consider this BH. I know you weren’t referring to me with the BH remark but just wanted to point out that even with the opponents using BH my site doesn’t and applies to all Google T&C’s but still no traffic. That’s why I wonder if I do anything wrong like double content, wrong indexing, nofollows or whatever. All my pages are indexed but rank from page 4 or even lower.

Hi Adrian,

Just read you advise again but doesn’t headspace give the same opportunity already?! I always write tags like title, desciption and keywords for each individual posts in headspace. not the overall settings but the ones it offers in the section were you write a new post page. Do I understand wrong?

Please advise as I’m confused now.

Hi Adrian thanks for the reply, would this go together with the Headspace or in place of? And if so will it effect my url’s cause I changed my url’s and permalinks already ones and that resulted in like 100 redirects in my htacces.

Thanks for the swift reply I will digg in to that and try to make it work, one question should i do the same on the category pages? I would like to have an introduction test on all categorie pages as well (not the pop up screen) but static text on the pages themslef.
