Hey HandySolo… I can’t find anywhere in my theme files where it calls for the categories. But maybe I will check again.

Also, could this be causing the problem – even though I removed the plugins from the plugins folder, I can still see them in phpMyAdmin. So even though I removed them from the folder, SQL stills sees them and gives me the problem?

Hey Michael. I’m sure I uploaded them properly. I actually deleted all the files from the server and installed the new ones.

Also, I removed all the plugins from the plugins folder and still get the message.

I made my theme here https://www.yvoschaap.com/wpthemegen . And it is suppose to be 2.3 compatible.

Okay I’m having to hijack this post because I can’t seem to get anyone to help me with my categories problem.

I’ve posted it three times. Even in the sticky. Can someone PLEASE HELP????

I am getting this message every time I upgrade my database. I’ve ununstalled and reinstalled WordPress and then the database. But still getting it.

I’ve also removed every plugin I was using, and the theme I am using I’m pretty sure is compatible.

This is the message:

SELECT * FROM wp_categories ORDER BY cat_ID

oh wait, you were talking about the new category template!

wp-content -> themes -> find the folder of the theme you are using and put it there. you should see the rest of your themes templates inside that folder.

You upload it to your themes Content folder.

should look like this:

wp-content -> plugins

Find your wp-content folder and the put the plugin .php file in the plugins folder.

To want users to click on a singular post and be directed to a categorical view does fly in the face of what a categorical-based blog is supposed to do.

Well, I wouldn’t need to do that if I could set up pages that could do this. And obviously a lot of other people want to do it as well.

Wow, you can be really rude sometimes Moshu.

Why is that nonsense? Everyone has their own reasons for wanting WP to work how they want it to work.

Just because people aren’t on your level doesn’t mean that it’s okay for you to be completely rude and belittle people when you respond to their questions (as ridiculous or stupid as you may think they are).

Sure you’re probably a moderator for good reasons and have a wealth of knowledge about WP. But your comments sometimes really make people feel bad about themselves and I always thought WordPress was better than that.

Get over yourself and stop making people feel so bad when they ask questions that aren’t up to your level. This is suppose to be forum where people can ask anything and not be made to feel bad.

This will probably be delete and that’s fine. I hope you read it though. And if making a complaint here doesn’t work, maybe contacting the owner of this forum will.

Hey Moshu. Not trying to invade this post or anything… but are you saying that with the category template and category visibility plugin, I can fix the problem I am having that I mentioned above?
