I have now created a new test site at the web host, and the widgets admin page works fine together with Content Aware Sidebars and my plugins. So it seems to be only on that one site that it doesn’t work.

The plugins work fine without WooSidebars, or Content Aware Sidebars which I have switched to now (the problem when adding a widget area persists with this plugin too).

I just tried it on my local server and it works with WooSidebars in use there, both the local server and web host run WordPress 6.0. I just tried it on the web host without Classic Widgets, and it still doesn’t work. I have a minimum number of plugins, and use Storefront as a theme on both the local- and web host server.

I have e-mailed my web host about getting any server error logs from the internal server errors. I can’t recall having seen such error logs before, but maybe they can help figure this out.

I see, I have bookmarked that and will try it out.

I saw that I didn’t need the part of the AJAX that caused this requirement; and then I also removed that whole AJAX reload functionality, because it was causing an incompatibility with BeRocket’s AJAX Products Filter plugin. I still have some other AJAX functionality, but it doesn’t seem to cause any incompatibility.

Hi.

I have now installed this child theme on my local server, and then deactivated all other plugins but WooCommerce, and added my template file. If I open the shop startpage, it doesn’t even show the template selection option. When I open a different page, my template can be selected and it works for that page.

Also, I use woocommerce_page_title() to try to output the page title, but it prints the word ‘Shop’, even when the page title of that page is ‘Black Week 2022’. Is there something I’ve missed about this function?

The only fatal errors from today I think are unrelated to this. Here they are:

I have now observed that if I print the cookie value to the console with console.log, the value is often different from when I print it from the php with:

var_dump($_COOKIE['Techsaker_se_vyval']);

Right now for example when testing this, they show conflicting values on page 1 of my shop startpage and the same values on page/2/. And I can only change the value succesfully on page 2.

Now after further tests, I have observed that the JavaScript and php sometimes do show the same value also on page 1, but even then, I can’t change the view on page 1. The JavaScript value in the console sometimes changes, sometimes not even that. However, in a product category I have seen that I could change the view on both page 1 and and page 2.

It’s always the php value that determines what view is output. Why isn’t it always registering the same value as the JavaScript?

Yes the site is password protected because it’s under development. The password I use I only use for this site, so I could share it I guess if it was needed.

Well, it didn’t work after changing them to ‘var’ either.
