WordPress executes Cron jobs when your site gets a visitor. If your site has low traffic, then this will cause your problem. You’ll need an external service to call Cron regularly. It’s possible your hosting company can do this for you.

I am having this issue on a site as well. Version 1.6.2 on WordPress 4.9.9

I’m getting a similar error logged too –

I’ve read a few replies about this same problem along the lines of ‘increase your referral sales’ to up the API call limit.

That’s all well and good but what are essentially broken pages do not give much confidence to the viewer to actually click on the links that do render and there is no possibility for the viewer to click on an un-rendered link is there?
