Thanks, guys… yes, I’m using IE.

Any idea what it could be???! I’m guessing it’s something that’s too wide for one part of the page, which is just pushing things across slightly. I wondered about the banner at the bottom, but I’ve tried removing that and then refreshing, and it didn’t seem to fix it.

Strangely, it seems OK on the other pages so my guess is that it has something to do with index.php …??

Re: the page being quite long, I feel kind of compelled to do that because of the vast number of categories that I have (over 300). I’m not really sure what the solution is there, but am open to suggestions.

No, there are no instructions that I’ve found. From what I can tell, you just pop it in the plug-ins folder and then click ‘Activate’ from within WordPress. Unfortunately, though, it appears any subscriptions have to be added/edited by the blogger, and not by the reader.

Having just installed cat2email (no instructions), I was disappointed to find that the blogger has to add email addresses by hand himself (or herself). I agree with you wholeheartedly that it’d make more sense if the reader could do this… is there anything out there that will do this?

Under Administration > Manage > Categories, it shows 1 post also.

I am using WordPress 1.5.1

Further to my original post, I notice I do have an entry scheduled to appear in the Madagascar category in 16 days’ time. It is possible that I published this post, and then went back and edited it to make it appear at a later date.

Could this have accounted for the indication of one post? Also, if that is the cause, will it rectify itself when the post goes live in a couple of weeks time?

I’ve done an overhaul of the site’s whole look now, and I’d appreciate any additional feedback.

It’s still using the Red Train theme as it’s basis, but it doesn’t really resemble it any longer. The colours are different and the top graphic has been changed.

The Google Ads blend far better now, I think.

I’d be grateful for your opinions.

I very much agree with the suggestion of spacing the ads more, but I’m not sure how to do it! At the moment, I’m using the Google AdSense deluxe plug-in, and I have it assigned to the index.php file. This means that it appears in every post on the page, until it has been displayed three times, and subsequent posts on the page won’t carry it. I would very much like this to appear every other post so that the ads are more spaced… is there a way that this can be achieved? (I realise I can assign the ads on a post by post basis, but this doesn’t really overcome the problem for people looking at individual categories.)

As for the structure, I actually have over 300 categories and subcategories (many of them don’t appear yet because there are no posts yet assigned to them), mostly covering locations. I have one category for (pretty much) every country, as well as one for each state in the US, and various other categories, many of which you will already see. I thought it was important that people could immediately look at say, all the entries for France, if they wished to.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, if I use that method, I’m guessing blindly as to whether I am returning the image to the correct size. I have to drag it, then go into the HTML to check what size it is. If it’s not right, I have to go back and drag it again. Surely, this isn’t right.

Sorry, another question… I shall have a lot of categories for my blog (over 200) – is there a way I can make the sub-cats not appear in the category menu?
