Hi William,
Thanks for your update. I uploaded the screen shots as follows:
#1 Sample of Blog Page Index:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1b15AqSAbMVUgaFEaLm_Ls1lwg-CX8pke/view?usp=drive_link#2 Sample of Latest Blog Post teaser on the Home page: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GSmoVv5H0OGGi28hsZJ8snPvigkgk6pj/view?usp=drive_link
In both cases, you can see the excerpt at the top of the description as it should be, but the simplified summary shows immediately below it. Maybe it’s a conflict with Divi’s post slider module. It’s what we’re using to display the latest post on both pages. We do not have the issue when using the Blog Module which displays a grid of posts with titles and excerpts below the latest post on the Blog page index.
I tried to duplicate the issue with the embedded HTML code in the editing window so that I could get a screen shot for you and it seems to be fixed now. Plugins and themes have been updated several times since we had this issue. Perhaps it was a software conflict that has been fixed.
Thanks!
Thanks for your quick response! There isn’t a specific plugin. The form is a text module with an embed code provided from MailChimp after using their form builder. The instructions we followed are here (in the “How to Embed a Form on Your Website” section toward the bottom): https://mailchimp.com/resources/embed-forms/. Maybe we need to try rebuilding and embedding it. The one we are using has a few accessibility issues and maybe they have improved their embedded forms. You can see the form on our home page in the Subscribe to newsletter section.
Thanks for the link to the code based injection method. We’ll try it out.
I have screenshots of the excerpt issue if you would like them.

In reply to: [Memphis Documents Library] Using SearchWP with Memphis DocsThank you for the information. I can see them now and SearchWP should index them fine. We had not purchased SearchWP yet since we were not sure they would be able to index our pdf files because we could not see them in the Media Library. That makes perfect sense that the files are hidden. We appreciate your help and love your plugin!
