Sounds like a great plugin. I’ve never seen one that does what you are looking for, but I know other folks who’d love to use it.

Some (hopefully) helpful advice for forums like this one:

* Use more descriptive subject lines (“Looking for a newsletter plugin”)

* Don’t capitalize whole words unless they are REALLY, REALLY IMPORTANT. Please.

* Stick to a single question mark.

Those are key. Less key, I’ll add that what you describe sounds very useful and straightforward, but not necessarily “simple.”

Right. I’m trying to figure something similar out. I’d like to start by adding a number to every <li class=” ..”> so that I can alternate colors by row, but I think that is roughly the first step for your puzzle too. To distinguish each list item with a unique class.
