I’ve been using v4.7 for my other social icons, and those all work great, but there’s no Goodreads icon in v4.7 — it’s a new icon for v5. The theme’s incompatibility with v5 is my unresolved problem. Will there be an update for Font Awesome 5 in the near future?

Thanks for your reply, but as far as I can tell following those instructions involve editing the actual theme, which would mean my changes would be thrown out whenever the theme is updated. I’d like to keep my website’s theme updated to the latest version.
