    Thanks. I’m sorry: I’ve not answered to your previous question. As I said before, I DON’T made any type of redirection within my webserver (nginx). Probably, as for Elementor, it’s my theme “BLOGUS” that create this funny problem.

    What is Elementor ? This https://www.elementor.com ? No. I don’t use elementor. But can be a theme problem ? I use BLOGUS theme by Themeansar.

    This is my wp-login.php 404 page https://postimg.cc/Q9bK1hrn

    Really it’s not a big deal: 404 page it’s ok. Hakers don’t find the original wp-login.php page so all it’s fine.
    But I’m curious about WHY it doesn’t work as exptected.

    Regards.

    Hi Maxime.
    This is a fresh WP installation made 10 days ago (WP 6.5.2 than upgraded to 6.5.3), a small blog for personal use.

    If your WP Hide Login is disabled (or not installed), all works fine:
    – connection to https://mysite/wp-login.php goes to standard WP Login page (CORRECT)
    – connection to https://mysite/wp-admin/ are redirect to https://mysite/wp-login.php?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fmysite%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1 (as expected to standard login page) (CORRECT)

    If I enable your plugin (see config to https://postimg.cc/NLwg7rC7 ):
    – connection to https://mysite/loragin/ goes to standard WP login page (CORRECT)
    – connection to https://mysite/wp-admin/ goes to the redirection url https://mysite/contattaci/ (CORRECT)
    – connection to https://mysite/wp-login.php goes to 404 standard page (WRONG ?)

    I never do any other redirection.

    Dear Mostafa, thanks for your kind reply. Your explainations are very useful for me.

    I’ve a problem.
    English language is synthetic and clear. With 4 words you can explain a complex idea without any doubt.
    Italian language is very complex. The same idea in Italian needs probably more words than English and can be written in many different ways. Some ways are equivalent, some are right and some are wrong. The judge is the context ! If I translate from English to Italian a STABLE sentence without know its real context (where it is placed) probably my translation will be wrong.
    “Translation Live” for me is more than useful: it is mandatory. I can see with my eyes exactly where the sentence is placed and I can write the correct translation without error.
    In 30 min I’ve translated some sentences from STABLE. With “Translation Live” I’ve made the same job in 1/5 time and translations are right.

    Suggestions? Thanks.
    Regards.

    Till now no solution.

    I’ve opened a support ticket within AlterVista provider.
    The problem was provider firewall: it was blocking some Google IP address.
    Now they have correctly opened their firewall and all works fine.

    All image are imported correctly.

    Thanks

    Sorry, I’m a novice in WordPress.
    Do you mean enable WP_DEBUG or something else ?

    Another test trying https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/import-external-images
    No success

    Agosto 2011: primo test: No images imported – you might want to check whether they still exist!
    Du is megl che uan ? Oh yes !: No images imported – you might want to check whether they still exist!
    Colore: No images imported – you might want to check whether they still exist!
    (…omissis…)

    But they don’t exist in my media library.
    And my media library is writable: I can upload images from my PC withou any problem.

    I’ve tried just now this old plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/blogger-image-import/

    Same problem: it don’t import any image from my old Blogger blog.
    Blogger changed something during these days ?

    Blogger Image Import
    Importing a maximum of 10 images
    Posts Processed : 122
    Images Imported : 0 (+ thumbnails)
    Success!

    (I’m running WP 3.8.1)

    Blogger Importer plugin has standard options:

    // 14/2/2013 switched from global defines to class constants
    // These are used to change the behaviour of the importer from the default.
    const MAX_RESULTS = 25; // How many records per GData query (int)
    const MAX_EXECUTION_TIME = 20; // How many seconds to let the script run (int)
    const STATUS_INTERVAL = 3; // How many seconds between status bar updates (int)
    const IMPORT_IMG = true; // Should we import the images (boolean)
    const REMOTE_TIMEOUT = 5; // How many seconds to wait until google responds (int)
    const LARGE_IMAGE_SIZE = ‘1024’; // The size of large images downloaded (string)
    const POST_PINGBACK = 0; // Turn off the post pingback, set to 1 to re-enabled(bool)
    //N.B. Not all images will be this large and not all will be able to be remapped.

    Solved.
    Thanks to Firefox and its new debug feature (style analizer).

    I’ve added the following code at the top of my theme style.css (or at the bottom, it’s the same).

    /* POST TILE plugin customization , ambrosa 24.01.2013 */

    /* excerpt color without mouse over */
    #post-tiles li a {
    	color: #ffffff !important;
    }

    /* excerpt color with mouse over */
    #post-tiles li a:hover {
    	color: #ffffff !important;
    }

    /* title color for tile without an image */
    #post-tiles li h3 {
    	color: #ffee10 !important;
    }

    /* title color for tile with an image */
    #post-tiles li.featured-image.up h3 {
    	color: #ffee10 !important;
    }
    /*--------------------------------------------------------*/

    Thanks for your kind reply.

    1) into header.php, the function wp_head() is called AFTER theme CSS
    This is the HTML page source: you can see that is correct as you suggested to me.

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="https://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en">

      <link rel="Shortcut Icon" href="https://www.diamocilazampa.it/public/wp/wp-content/themes/emerald-stretch/img/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
        <link rel='stylesheet' id='admin-bar-css'  href='https://www.diamocilazampa.it/public/wp/wp-includes/css/admin-bar.min.css?ver=3.5' type='text/css' media='all' />
    <link rel='stylesheet' id='farbtastic-css'  href='https://www.diamocilazampa.it/public/wp/wp-admin/css/farbtastic.css?ver=1.3u1' type='text/css' media='all' />
    <link rel='stylesheet' id='post-tiles-css'  href='https://www.diamocilazampa.it/public/wp/wp-content/plugins/post-tiles/post-tiles.css?ver=3.5' type='text/css' media='all' />
    <link rel='stylesheet' id='wp-cpl-base-css-css'  href='https://www.diamocilazampa.it/public/wp/wp-content/plugins/wp-category-posts-list/static/css/wp-cat-list-theme.css?ver=2.0.3' type='text/css' media='all' />'

    2) I’ve added the code you suggested in previous post into my theme style.css
    Nothing change (?!) even if I put the code at the beggining of .css or at the end.

    Now, in my third example https://www.diamocilazampa.it/public/wp/index.php/cercano-casa/ I’ve added a category with white background. Now it’s readeable (obviously).

    Notice that now in my examples there are a post without images.
    Background is green and text white (as I wish). But if you go over with mouse pointer, text became green as background. I suppose that the problem is in .css into ‘hover’ properties.

    So I’ve added into theme .css only the following code (I’ve not included your previous code):

    #post-tiles li a:hover {
    	color: #ffffff !important;
    }

    And it works ! ??

    The only problem is that the post title is in blue (I wish white).
    Any idea ?

    Another suggestion about category option.
    Into shortcode can nice if I can use multiple categories.
    Separated with a dash or something else (comma ?)

    I.e. [wp-tiles posts_query='numberposts=8&post_type=post&category=9,12,23,47']

    Thread Starter ambrosa

    (@ambrosa)

    For the ordering, I’m sorry. I’ve bother you ??

    0.3.4 works fine.
    See here https://www.diamocilazampa.it/public/wp/index.php/cercano-casa/ about in the middle of the page.

    But I’ve some problem into shortcode:
    [wp-tiles template='Plain' byline='Excerpt' bylineBg='Random' colors='#688848' posts_query='numberposts=8&post_type=post&category=9']

    1) “template” option needs a case-sensitive value. ‘Plain’ works , ‘plain’ doesn’t work. It’s better using case-insensitive option.

    2) If I set “byline” and “bylineBg” in main option page (‘Excerpt’ and ‘Random’), it works
    Shortcode is : [wp-tiles colors='#688848' posts_query='numberposts=8&post_type=post&category=9']

    If I don’t change options in main option page (leaving default values) and I use the shortcode [wp-tiles template='Plain' byline='Excerpt' bylineBg='Random' colors='#688848' posts_query='numberposts=8&post_type=post&category=9'] it doesn’t work as expected. No Excerpt (default is ‘Categories’) and no #688848 green color (default is black)

    In my opinion it’s better if you use case-insensitive option-name and case-insensitive option-value for shortcode use.
