Good morning
I have the same problem: static pages dont show their featured image
My frontpage is set up to show latest posts.
In Ocean, Page Title is set to a background img (let’s call it the “hero”)I would like to get the following behaviour:
Front Page: I want Hero + grid. It works
Single Post: I want Just Featured img (no hero). It works (image cropped + overlay)
Single Page: I want Just Featured img (no hero). But it shows the hero, instead of featured imageTested in chrome and Firefox
Maybe the Page Title is not intended to act as a “hero”, but I can’t see any other alternative to declare a “big header image”
When editing a page (with a featured image), preview or view page don’t show the img either, so I suspect it is not a Ocean issue, but a WP database mess or similar
thanks

In reply to: [Wellington] Multilanguage with wpglobusI think I solved it. I used Polylang instead of wpglobus, and seems to be ok

In reply to: homepage is working, but shows admin editor emptyWell, I really don’t know, because I abandoned that test project and started a new one fresh, 3 weeks ago…. Well, not fresh,… I am moving a html/css page to WP… I am using sass and singularity for css, and splitted the html into php pieces, trying to learn how WP works to build the page.
Thanks for your interest.

In reply to: homepage is working, but shows admin editor emptyI was out of activity for personal reasons. Now I have retaken WP, although I can’t remember how this topic arose.
Sorry for the inconvenience.Forum: Installing WordPress

In reply to: running a wp site without its DBThanks
Provider is kimsufi.com, but the contract is made between my WP developer and the provider. My WP developer gave me the user and pwd to ftp the code, but not the user/pwd to access the BD (mysql, I suppose)
At first, I supposed I could use another db (a fake one) to allow the wp site to start up (only to see the layouts, look&feel. But it seems to be a wrong a approach, since the db contains part or all of the setup (as it happens in Drupal).
In this scenario, I suppose the add_admin_act makes sense ONLY if I have the right DB in place, and not the fake one. Anyway, after including the funtion in functions.php I don’t know how to run it, or if it runs automatically

In reply to: running a wp site without its DBOk, thanks
I don’t have access to the db, so it’s just impossible to replicate the wp site only by downloading the code (but not the db, since it is stored in a different place in the hosting provider and I don’t have access to it at the moment)
Happy Christmas

In reply to: running a wp site without its DBthanks, and are there any chances that I can access the db using the same user and password I got for the ftp transfer??
At least in my hosting provider, both user/pwd are completely appart (I use PhpAdmin)….

In reply to: homepage is working, but shows admin editor emptyIt says Static Page, Front Page: “Home”, Post Page, none…
Maybe the front page is entirely in the php templates, where the other pages at least expose their text and pictures.
thanks

In reply to: homepage is working, but shows admin editor emptyThanks, here you are the list of plugins we can see, using the username of my friend, there might be other hidden plugins, if WP allows that for higher ranked admins
