Thank you David, not sure how it got fixed but hosting company was not much help as they said that there were no errors in the server logs. But they did not provide them for me. What I was doing is checking email configuration on the website.
It does look like when it was working just a few days ago, there were email notifications coming to a specific gmail account. And when it was failing that did not happen.
