Hi, Mike,
I know that, based on your demo page at <https://demo.woothemes.com/?name=wootique>, child menus should work just fine. But AFAIK, my Bluehost SimpleScripts WordPress installation is clean and yet WP Menus simply does not work in Wootique. I’ve had to go into the code and hard-code what would have been my primary navigational menu.
Now I do realize that y’all are hard at work on things, as since three weeks ago I’ve gone through at least two updates of WooCommerce and one of Wootique, so please excuse me if I sound harsh in my observations!
Hi, Mike,
I was just noting for the record one theme which doesn’t seem to take to WooCommerce (or vice-versa!) out of the box. I’ve looked at the WooCommerce Codex and User’s Guide before that but product images are still not working in this InStyle theme and at least two others that don’t come from Elegant Themes.
The thing is, if there was at least read-only access to the WooThemes support forums, at least for the WooCommerce section (if the plugin has its own separate section like how each theme does), in the same way that theme documentation access is available for the free ones, it would be helpful.
I have to agree with this assessment. So far I’ve spent a whole week trying to deal with the inconsistent functionality presented by WooCommerce, with and without the free Wootique theme (which seems to present its own set of headaches).
If I do stick with this, I may well have to pay for support access (that is, just join WooThemes) or even hire a “WooNinja” to get things going as they should. We’ll see….
Benjamin,
In my case, the Lite version displays the button just fine while an upgrade to the Pro version removed it for some reason. I found out that having both Lite and Pro plugins activated at the same time solved this problem — but that’s not the way it’s supposed to be.
Any suggestions?
I mean, user-defined pricing.
With Lite (the free version), I supposed you can just have preset donation levels for your visitors to choose from.
I’m pretty sure it’s something only available in the “Pro” (paid) version.
Ironic: The cart page was one that did work right for me! And with several weeks of evaluating shopping cart plugins, I guess I dodged the bullet as regards a conflict — for example, Cart66 uses “store” instead of WooCommerce’s “shop.”
Unfortunately, CSS issues prevent my product pages from displaying properly in my custom theme. I am, however, using WooCommerce on another site with the free Wootique theme (which I’ll be customizing myself soon, as I don’t need a highly unique design this time around) and it’s been great so far!

In reply to: jogoshop sidebarSame problem here!
This is what happens in WooCommerce, too, BTW, FWIW. The sidebar on many themes gets thrown to the bottom of a page’s “content container.”
Unfortunately, I’ve implemented the code changes as instructed to no effect. =(
I have a very similar problem, it seems.
I’m using the InStyle theme from Elegant Themes and on the product pages the layout’s totally messed up, with the sidebar underneath the content and the featured image stretched out, et cetera — generally, a mess.
I’ve looked at the WooCommerce User’s Guide but everything seems so simple; not sure why images are not working properly, being forcibly stretched out no matter what setting I poke at. I even looked at the WooCommerce Codex and copy-pasted the snippets of code they offered to no avail.
Interesting, the cart page is just fine!
