I don’t have your email address. If you can enter your email here, I’ll ask our site’s admin to contact you to make sure that you received your refund.
I’m sorry to hear about your bad experience with WPML.
We organize our support in a forum, which is basically a public ticketing system. This allows clients to locate similar issues and receive replies immediately.
All information for our support system goes into the forum and not as emails. Because we have a fairly large support team, we cannot manage with one “support email”.
Are you still waiting for your refund, or did you receive it?
Thank you for this kind review. I want to reassure you that we’re not thinking to stop work on Toolset. Toolset project is only getting better and feedback like your helps us a lot!
Seems that we have a communication problem here. We wrote to you several times to the email that we have:
a****1@du****stuff.com
We never heard back when we wrote to you. Maybe our emails are reaching your SPAM.
Any chance you can give us a different email to reply to? You can write it here, or better write to:
[email protected]Sorry for this trouble. We got all your contacts and replied immediately. I’m subscribed to updates on this ticket, so whatever your write here, I’ll see.
No worries. Like I wrote directly to [email protected], we’ll be removing all upgrade notices altogether. Please note that we don’t know for how long Types will remain on WPORG.
Just subscribed to email notifications for this thread.
I want to to do what’s right and avoid any sort of damage to people who’ve been using Types until now.
@otto42, can I have an email or other form of contact, so I can explain what we have and get your advice on what’s best for developers who’ve been using Types?
For 3 days, Types ran with a bug that asked for registration to update. We fixed that bug and release a hotfix version just before the weekend. Sorry about this confusion.
There is ample documentation specifically for Types under:
https://wp-types.com/documentation/customizing-sites-using-php/Thank you for your feedback. Of course, we want to improve. Can you tell us what errors you are getting sometimes?
Thank you for your support.
One of the major efforts during this year was to improve usability. I’m sure that you noticed that things moved around. Our goal was to make it as easy as possible to find what you need, where you need it.
I’m sure that we still have room to improve. If you can tell me which usability issues you run into frequently, we’ll do our best to fix.
If you’re interested, leave me contact info and we’ll arrange a quick call, so you can show me the main usability issues you’re seeing.
I completely agree that it’s a good idea to have a dev server for testing. The combination of WordPress+a theme+WooCommerce+WPML+WCML+many other plugins+many WC extensions, is very complicated. It has infinite combinations and it’s practically impossible to test all possible combinations of extensions and server settings.
On our sites, our upgrade process FOR ANYTHING include:
1. Test on a dev server
2. Do a full backup for the production server
3. Update the production serverI know that this is frustrating, because you’re paying us and you would like to expect to click Update and have everything working. Of course, we want that too. In reality, we run full testing on our plugins on a set of cases, but our tests cannot cover all combinations on all sites.
I’m glad to hear that you’ve noticed that we’re improving. Trust me, we work very hard to be better. We’re also working hard to improve our support processes, so that the first answer will not always be ‘please deactivate all plugins except WPML’.
Types plugin customizes the WordPress admin. If you are looking for front-end searches with custom fields have a look here:
https://wp-types.com/documentation/user-guides/front-page-filters/Where can we see your site?
To replicate this, we would need a bit more information. Are you getting any errors in the PHP log file? What is your site’s permalink structure? What is the language configuration of your site?
Looks very strange. I can see that the second case is just not output from Types plugin. Are you sure that the image shortcodes are still there?
It just looks like you have a static image and not a Types shortcode in the content.
Maybe try to delete it and paste the shortcode again. Also, see what other plugins you may have added. Anything that filters the ‘content’ may be involved in this.
