In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Podcast Category update not showingHi there @fortheartdesigns,
Did the RSS validators and podcast platforms pick up your new categories?
From the RSS feed, I see: (1) Health and Fitness, (2) Mental Health, and (3) Self-Improvement.
Sorry for the late response! We were running on a skeleton crew for the last few weeks. Let us know if you’re still having this issue and we can take a closer look.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Edit single podcast episode pageHi there @ulieckardt,
Thanks for contacting us. If you haven’t already, I’d check out our YouTube video on Elementor’s dynamic single posts template.
I also noticed on our testing site that a particular template doesn’t show from /templates, but if I click
all
, I can see it listed.I hope that helps but let us know if you have any other issues here.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Website won’t play episodes 1-7Hi there @thelugnutspodcastgroup,
It looks like those audio players are pointing to https://www.ccflugnutspodcast.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/Lugnuts-EP1.mp3?_=1 (which might your episode’s previous name) but from your first episode’s page, it is playing correctly as well as the RSS feed.
You could set https://www.ccflugnutspodcast.com/podcast/ as your podcast landing page and/or check out our YouTube video on customizing the archive page with Elementor.
I hope that helps but let us know if you have any other questions or issues. Have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Importing RSS IssuesHi @nicolewattam,
Thanks for contacting us and yes, it looks like it’s not accepting Squarespace RSS feeds.
Our WordPress developer is looking into this issue after you sent a support to Castos about it a week ago. We’ll be in touch as soon as we have more information. Thanks for your patience.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] How to format episode descriptions with HTMLHi there @froggin42,
Are you using either the classic or block editor from WordPress? I’d imagine the block editor since your theme Neve is compatible.
The plugin doesn’t required any HTRML to be for line breaks, lists, links, bold, italicized text, etc. I suggest trying to format your show notes without these and see how it looks.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] REST API?Hi there @kindav,
The REST API is only for Castos users at this time.
Since you’ve had success using the method you linked to with posts, have you tried using
Posts
as your podcast episodes rather than the custom post typeepisodes
?From the Help Center article:
> This will add the episode information fields to the WordPress post editor. When this option selected, episodes will be published from Posts > Add New and podcast episodes are intermingled with blog posts.
Let us know if that works for you and have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS feed doesn’t workIt looks like you’re self-hosting these episodes from your WP media library on ccflugnutspodcast.com, is that correct?
Head over to Podcast → Settings → Feed Details (make sure to click the correct series What the Bible Says) and see if there’s any information added here. If there is, remove it and save at the bottom.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS Feed Only Shows 23 of 117Hola @pachakamani,
Saludos.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Blog Posts included in Default Podcast Feed?Hi there @stevenjaycohen,
Thanks for contacting us and I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this. We received a Zendesk ticket from you as well. If it’s okay, we’d like to respond here for documentation purposes, in case another user has a similar issue.
I’m assuming you’re using posts for podcasting, is that correct?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Data CollectionHi @laurenkmrosen,
The Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin doesn’t collect any data.
If you have the companion plugin Seriously Simple Stats activated, though, it will only collect listens (when someone presses
play
on an episode) for the following sources:- iTunes / iOS Podcasts - Overcast - Pocket Casts - Direct downloads - Audio player listens - ‘Play in new window’ clicks
It doesn’t collect any other information besides a listen.
I hope that clarifies things. Have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS Feed Not UpdatingHi @tiebreaktennis,
Sorry you had trouble with the syndication settings and not seeing your podcast episodes in the feed. That change would be automatic.
It’s difficult to diagnose what happened here since your RSS feed is showing all episodes correctly and we weren’t able to compare your feed to Spotify in the moment.
Did clearing the brower cache change what you saw on https://tbtennis.cz/feed/podcast? How long did you notice the discrepancy?
