In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS Feed Ordering Bughi @marthadesign,
Thanks for contacting us. When I searched
<pubDate>
in the RSS feed https://tommccallum.com/feed/podcast/whatcomesnext-live I saw correctly ordered items. Can you check if you’re seeing this on your end as well? Here you can see three items reverse-chronologically ordered by publish date: https://share.getcloudapp.com/yAu0KGl4
Did you change or re-save any settings since sending this forum post?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS Feed Not UpdatingHi @happyisco,
I currently see 25 episodes in the feed for https://epidemic-belfast.com/feed/podcast. Would this account for all your earlier episodes?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] display feed on webpageThanks for the positive feedback. We love to hear from folks using our plugin.
About how the plugin displays the feed, are you referring to how the plugin displays episodes from
/feed/podcast/
or from/podcast

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Podcast Feed Stopped WorkingHi @barzhon,
With version 2.9.3 of the plugin we added the possibility to order feed items by the “Recorded date” field.
Check your settings in Podcast → Settings → Feed Details and confirm that Source for publish date is toggled to Published date. This will set the feed order back to the normal reverse chronological order.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS ProblemHi @ofabriceo,
Thanks for contacting us.
Can you share the version number of SSP as well as the series feeds you’re currently having trouble with?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS Feed sortingHi @robert63,
RSS feeds are normally sorted reverse chronologically (most recent episode first, oldest episode last) by published date. You also have the option in SSP to sort the RSS feed by recorded date in Podcast → Settings → Feed Details → Source for publish date.
The player shortcode attributes to sort episodes are done on the front-end for the player. These options don’t affect the usual reverse chronological ordering you’re used to seeing in other podcast players.
I hope that helps. Let us know if you have any other questions and have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Enclosure Redirect FailHi @kevinscampoli,
Thanks for contacting us.
Did you achieve what you were looking to with filters here?
Hi there @beestung14,
Thanks for contacting us.
This isn’t possible with the Episode List widget, but you can use the Podcast: Series widget to display only one of your series on a page.
I hope that helps. Let us know if you have any further questions and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
Have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] RSS Feed Doesn’t Pick up Latest EpisodesHi there @anamorphiclenses,
Thanks for contacting us.
Have you confirmed that this series is not being excluded from the default RSS feed?
I hope that helps but let us know if that doesn’t show these sixth series episodes.
Hi there @meisi11,
Thanks for your response.
Our development team has started actively working on this feature, so look out for it in an upcoming version of SSP.
Thanks again for letting us know and have a great day.
Hi @meisi11,
Thanks for your response.
Currently, this setting toggle is only used for showing the episode date, not for the ordering of the RSS feed.
That said, we’ve passed your request along to our development team to start sketching out the ability for the plugin to sort items in the RSS feed based on “record date” like you’ve suggested.
Thanks and have a great day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] ?Por qué no se cambia la imagen del programa?Hola @miguel18071980,

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Where do I add external feedHi @psoylu,
Thanks for contacting us and I apologize for the late response.
I searched for happycoollove Podcast and only found one entry in Spotify, so it looks like you’ve solved your issue. Did it have to do with our plugin or your host?
From your Apple Podcasts link, I did a reverse RSS feed lookup and it seems your with podcaster.de. If they have an integration with Spotify this might have been the reason. Let us know when you have a moment, in case there was an issue on our side that we can take a look at.
Thanks and have a great day.
