In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Episode Images in HTML5 Player MissingHi @noyz319,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
Since version 2.8.0, we’ve removed featured images as the source of podcast episode cover artwork to fall more in line with WordPress best practices and standards.
Since Featured Images can be used for many other purposes, we recommend using Seriously Simple Podcasting’s designated Episode Image in Podcasts → All Episodes → Edit Episode → Podcast Episode Details → Episode Image.
I hope that clarifies things. Have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] SSP Widgets not saving in AvadaHi @johnrsd,
Thanks for reaching out to us.
We’ve been aware of some compatibility issues between Avada and our Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin since last week. Our development team has just been given access to Avada’s code.
I’ve added this forum post’s issue with widgets as something to check on when our team is able to take a closer look. We’ll be in touch as quickly as possible hopefully with a solution for you.
Thanks for your patience and have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Performance issues on websiteHi there @bhkh,
Thank you very much for your thoughtful question.
We’re very interested in improving Seriously Simple Podcasting’s performance for our users’ websites for future release.
I’ve sent this to our development team for them to take a closer look, but I’ll leave this issue unresolved for the time being so we can reach out to you again.
Have a great day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Rate PodcastHi there @aakashahmad,
Thanks for contacting us.
Show notes for podcast episodes are inserted on the episode page itself (either as a Post or Podcast custom post type).
Within the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin you can toggle to either show the full content or an excerpt from Podcast → Setting → Feed Details tab → Episode description.
The plugin does not have the option to rate the podcast being played. We do however have subscribe links to the various podcast listening platforms (Apple Podcasts, Google, etc.) where listeners to go to rate them, however.
I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any further questions and we’d be happy to assist you further.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Older episodes do not have player shownHi @jwdh75,
Thanks for contacting us.
This is probably due to a general WordPress setting hidden in Settings (not Seriously Simple settings) → Reading.
You can find more information in our Help Center article: My Podcast Feed Only Includes 10 Episodes
This basically limits the RSS feed to the last ten episodes and hides the rest.
I hope this helps.
Let us know if this fixes the issue. I will leave this unresolved until you confirm.
Have a great day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Explicit FieldHi there @ajkoehl86,
Thanks for contacting us.
Looking at your staging page, it looks like this can be accomplished by adding a snippet to change
Explicit: <?php echo $explicit ?>
or something similar that’s probably already present in your theme, in order to show episodes as explicit in the way you’d like.Unfortunately we can’t help with custom code or theme requests as it’s beyond the scope of what we can support regarding the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin and Castos.
That said, WordPress users with a bit of php knowledge or developers could help you with this since it’s a straightforward substitution.
Sorry we can’t be of more help in this way!

Thanks for your response. It’s very helpful when we’re both on penninsular time. ????
You can use WP Rollback to install a previous version or wait for the update. I cannot say exactly when but it will be released soon.
I’ll go ahead and mark this issue as resolved for now. Have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Add series to urlHi @lk2_89,
Thanks for contacting us.
Adding a series name to the permalink structure is currently not supported by the Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin at the moment.
However, we do have a Castos/Seriously Simple Podcasting Feedback page at https://feedback.castos.com/ if you would like to add this as a feature request for future development plans.
As a workaround, you could trying adding WordPress pages with
/name-of-series
as the slug, then use the Castos playlist player shortcodes to only show episodes from that series.I’ll mark this as resolved and whenever you have a free moment please add this to our feedback.
Have a good day.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Getting a error on my tagsHi there @playguitarnotescom,
Thanks for contacting us.
We’re taking a closer look at what might be causing tags to break with this new update of Seriously Simple Podcasting.
If you install the WP Rollback plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-rollback/ and try to revert Seriously Simple Podcasting to an older version:
- Does it fix the issue?
- If it works on an older version, could you provide us the latest version where the tags still work?
Knowing this can help us isolate the issue.
Thanks for your time and have a good day.
