This is what I exactly did. I created a Author role for you as well to test it:

I installed the plugin, and created CF7 form. Under ‘Form to post’, I chose Post Type: New Post, the attributes are default, then mapped the fields. Post title is your-name, other fields are mapped to meta-fields.

I have enabled registration as well for Author role if you needed.

It is saving the drafts under correct author ID, but not loading it when we refresh or revisit the form.

Yes, we are implementing draft forms for our users. As the forms are too long, we want users to save drafts (if needed), complete the forms later on, and then submit.

It really helped but facing 2 problems:
– I’m adding ‘include_blank’ to the select dropdown, but it doesn’t work.
– It is showing all the users including admin. We want to show a list of particular role; for example subscribers only.
