I found the problem. I upgraded my Google Maps plugin and that’s when it all came tumbling down. I deactivated the plugin, and order has been restored.

I just hit the “Auto upgrade” button, and it upgraded without a hitch. I didn’t do anything prior, except backup my WP.

It’s under “Design”, now.

For some unknown reason, it’s working now.

WOW! Glad I didn’t upgrade. Something told me to stay right where I am, and I’m going to do just that.

*Update* I got tons of “Warning: Unexpected Character input…” errors. And what is “chmod a+w”? I’m familiar with permissions, but I’ve never seen it written like that.

Hmmm…I don’t know. Perhaps someone can offer some insight into what it could be.

Why do you ask people to not “yell” at you? Have you had people respond rudely to your inquiries?

No. The plugin is not the problem. When you click “Enter” you should be taken to /index.php. What’s on that page is irrelevant. The point is you should end up there.

As I stated earlier, sometimes when you click on “Enter” it does…nothing. Sometimes it goes to the /index.php page, as it should.

That’s the problem — sometimes it’ll work, sometimes it won’t. If you’re seeing the maintenance plugin, then it’s at the /index.php page.

I’m trying to figure out what’s causing the inconsistency.

Only thing: The headline doesn’t display correctly, when I click on specific posts, listed under “categories”. What could be causing that? Did I not do a complete edit of the code?

I just followed the instructions posted in the earlier part of the thread. If you need help with a specific part of the instructions (I had to figure out WHERE to find the code to replace it with the workaround), tell us which part, and we’ll help you!

I fixed it! YAY! It’s a DYNAMIC plugin, and I hated to lose it!
