In reply to: [Caldera Forms - More Than Contact Forms] 500 Error after updateHi there,
Thanks for using Caldera Forms. This is a known issue that is caused by a conflict that we think as to do with Divi and possibly other plugins or themes. I would recommend disabling other plugins and switching to the default theme and then doing the update for Caldera Forms, which I can promise you works fine by itself.
For possible work-arounds for this issue see this comment on Github. If you have additional details not already provided by others there, you should leave a comment with relevant information.
If you need more help, please open a support ticket at https://calderaforms.com/support
Take care,
Hey there,
Thanks for using Caldera Forms. I’m sorry you’re having this issue.
I think you are saying that form submission starts but doesn’t complete. This would typically indicate that your site encountered an error while processing the form. You can log the errors yourself to see what’s going on using the method described in this post — https://calderaforms.com/2016/05/wordpress-debug-logging/ — and if you need help troubleshooting, open a support ticket with your errors and we can help you interpret them.
Alternatively, Caldera Forms Pro has most of this error logging built in. When Caldera Forms Pro users submit support requests, the first thing we do is check those logs, if they have the client plugin active we are typically able to help them right away. I didn’t see anything for you, which tells me your API keys aren’t activated. If you want to use this service, please insert your API keys and activate Caldera Forms Pro, and then recreate the error. Upon failure to submit, an error log that I can look at will be created. Let me know when you have done this and we’ll go from there

In reply to: [Caldera Forms - More Than Contact Forms] Form reply sent from wrong addressHithere,
I think you’re asking how to set the “From Email” email setting from a magic tag. If your goal is to be able to reply to the person who submitted the form, you can use a magic tag in the “Reply To Email” to setting.
If you set the “From Email” setting to a magic tag, and I filled out the form, the email would appear to becoming from my email address, but sent by your server, which looks like a phishing attack to Gmail, Exchange or other clients, so they will most likely not deliver it. You could try it, but if you are not using Caldera Forms Pro, it’s important you set the DKIM and SPF DNS records on the domain you are sending as, or your contact form emails could go to spam or be marked as phishing scams.
We help people with email deliverability issues all the time, and it’s gotten a lot more complex over the last few years. That’s why we built Caldera Forms Pro. It makes this all of this hassle invisible to you. You fill in your API keys in the Caldera Forms settings, and we take care of ensuring that your emails are delivered with the “from” message as whatever you wish, spam is blocked and the messages look great.

In reply to: [Caldera Forms - More Than Contact Forms] Caldera Plugin Missing After UpdateHey jkamiller2,
Thanks for using Caldera Forms. I am sorry that you are facing this issue.
It seems that there was some error while updating the plugin.
You can try uninstalling the plugin from your FTP and then be reuploading it.
When you are updating plugin files by re-uploading you will need to remove and delete the plugin first before you can upload the later version. You are also able to upload plugin files via FTP which will give you the option to overwrite the plugin files.
Hope that helps!
