OK, I think I understand how to do that. Will try on a local test site and see how it works out.
For event lists, event pages, widgets etc. is it possible to use something like “if has_location” else “name-only” or should I just have all lists etc. showing the custom field /attribute in any way and just use the has_location to show a map if there is a regular location? (if that question made any sense?)
Thanks anyway.

It has happened with a couple locations (all I have tried lately) and on two different sites. It is in the admin side, I haven’t used the front side so don’t know about that.
I am using WordPress 4.9.2 and Events Manager 5.8.1.3 (usually always update to the latest within a day or two after releases)./Anders
Yes, I figured that, but what I would want to do is to add a location without having to use the Google map in the admin part. In other words I just want to type in a name or city for the location, not giving a full address and generate a location on a map.
Sometimes I want to use the map and sometimes not, but I would still like to have a location name.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [BU Section Editing] Does this plugin work with WordPress 3.8?Thanks will try it out then.
I was unsure since it still says on the plugin page “Compatible up to: 3.5.2”/Anders
OK, thanks, will try.
On a related note, were is there any documentation about this? tried to search but couldn’t find anything. Would be good if it said something on the plugin’s home page.
/Anders
Yes, Understood that it should be in the wp-config.php file, but where in that file? or doesn’t it matter where in the file?
/Anders
No I haven’t.
Didn’t know that was necessary, never seen any documentation on this.
Exactly where should I add this?

OK, tried to inactive the plugin “Events Manager and WPML Compatibility”, when this was inactivated it worked and I had the option to add Recurring Events.
When I activated that plugin again, that option disappeared. So apparently there is some conflict with the “Events Manager and WPML Compatibility” and Recurring Events.

Yes.
Just tried to save another setting in that group of settings (require locations, or what the wording is in English, using Swedish) and that worked fine.
So it is a bit strange.

In reply to: [Events Manager and WPML Compatibility] troubles with compatibility pluginOk, that was the case. I obviously didn’t read you instructions correct. I had just changed one, seems to work now. Will report if I find anything else, but this seems to have fixed it.

Just add, so far everything seems to work but when editing a post I get the warning:
Warning: call_user_func_array() [function.call-user-func-array]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback, ‘EM_WPML_Admin::meta_boxes’ was given in /var/www/vhosts/domain.com/httpdocs/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 406Seems to work.
Thanks a lot./Anders

In reply to: [Breadcrumb NavXT] New version? 4.3OK, thanks for the reply.
Don’t know if it is helpful or not for you to know.
But it seems that it doesn’t give the warning in the front end for ordinary users, so in that sense it seems to work ok.As an admin I get the warning on all pages, and when I save a page or post it usually works, but the page doesn’t load after saving so have to close that tab and open the same thing in a new one.
Other only thing I’ve seen that doesn’t work is to upload media files.
If I turn of the compatibility plugin when doing that type of editing it seems to work, then just activate it again when done uploading pictures etc.Apart from this glitch it seems to handle most things with Event manager working together with WPML.
