In reply to: [Private Area for WordPress] How to hide sub-menus?Hi there,
the operation of hiding menu items depending on the current user status should be handled by a different plugin, I think.
Something like Nav Menu Roles (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/nav-menu-roles/). I haven’t tested this specifically, but it should point you in the right direction.

In reply to: [Private Area for WordPress] How to define specific rolesHi @westerngeomancy,
thank you for trying out our plugin!
The roles in that select should be automatically populated based on the roles you currently have defined in your system. If the select dropdown isn’t showing up, I’m thinking that there must be some kind of error somewhere that somehow prevents that from happening.
For that, I think we should take a closer look at your installation directly. Would you mind sending us your access credentials privately via email ([email protected]), so that we can take a better look?
Thank you!

In reply to: [Grids: Layout builder for WordPress] Does this work with WP 5.4?Thanks to you for providing us some feedback, @raphisto!
We’ll try Grids out with the
SCRIPT_DEBUG
constant turned on, and see if we can reproduce the issue, so that, should you ever turn it back on for whatever reason, things will keep working as intended.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Grids: Layout builder for WordPress] Does this work with WP 5.4?Hey @raphisto,
I took some time to review your issue and I couldn’t replicate the problem, under WordPress 5.4, with either the Gutenberg plugin on or off, and running the latest version of Grids (we suggest that you update the plugin, if you haven’t done it already).
The error and warnings may be cause by some other plugin that you have installed that’s generating some error, which then prevents Grids from running properly.
Also, what browser are you using?

In reply to: [Grids: Layout builder for WordPress] Does this work with WP 5.4?Hi @raphisto,
yes, the plugin works with WordPress 5.4. Regarding margins and paddings, they’re not displayed when editing from the backend, but they are applied on frontend upon saving the page.
Regarding the issues you’ve reported, they’re just warnings: nonetheless, we’ll take a look at those and perhaps include a fix in the next update.
Thanks to you for trying out Grids!

In reply to: [Grids: Layout builder for WordPress] How to copy columns in container row?Hi there,
I’m afraid that’s not possible as of today. Thanks for the suggestion, though: copying settings and styles from an area to another might be a good idea for a future update.

In reply to: [Grids: Layout builder for WordPress] Can’t delete blockHi there,
with an area being selected, you can use the Structure control on the right to select the Section block that contains them.
Alternatively, you can use the Block navigation control that Gutenberg itself provides, in the top toolbar when you have a block selected (you can also use the ctrl+alt+o shortcut, if I remember correctly).
From there you’ll be able to delete the Section block just like a regular block.
Hi @bjaxelsen,
thank you for using Grids!
At the moment what you’re asking is not possible. However we have a roadmap to tackle the responsiveness of grids built with the plugin.
One thing that we want to do is the ability to redefine breakpoint widths: in this scenario, mobile and tablets would always fall back to single-column layouts, but you could be able to increase the tablet level.
The other thing that we have in mind to do is to let users be able to choose the visualization on a breakpoint-basis, which would mean that you could be able to re-arrange areas on a grid also on tablet and mobile devices.
I’m sorry the plugin doesn’t do this just yet, but I hope that the ideas we’ve shared can shed a light on how Grids will ultimately behave on the responsive level.
Stay tuned for updates to the plugin ??
Thanks again,
AndreaHello there,
thank you for using Grids.
We’ve tried to replicate the error you’ve reported, but we haven’t been able to do so, as we’re able to use a Grids block inside a container. So far we’ve used the Grids block together with the Columns, Media & Text and Group blocks.
Are you using Gutenberg the plugin, by chance? If so, what version of it?
Andrea
Sorry, @sebastianalbert, one more question: do you have perhaps a link to share with us to a page that is experiencing this layout issue?
Hi @sebastianalbert,
sorry for the late reply.
We haven’t specifically tested the plugin with GeneratePress, so we’ll have to verify that one by ourselves.
We’ll keep you updated on this, and release a fix for the issue, as soon as we can ??

In reply to: [Grids: Layout builder for WordPress] Inconsistent image size in gridHi @johnbrid,
we have tested the WordPress core image block on our local installs, and WP 5.3 indeed outputs the
<figure class="wp-block-image size-medium">...</figure>
markup. It is possible that the markup generated by the core image block has been changed over time, since Grids doesn’t interfere with the markup that is generated by blocks contained in columns/areas.
My best guess is that perhaps WordPress itself used to output a different markup in a previous version.

thank you for reporting this issue. We have just released an update for the plugin (version 1.2.19) that should fix the problem.
Let us know if everything is back to normal on your part.
