you need to update the plug-in page URGENTLY: at https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/adsense-manager/ is still sais that you have a lifetime ban.

I use this plug-in: https://www.dagondesign.com/articles/import-users-plugin-for-wordpress/
and never had a problem. It is rather easy to extend (with minimal PHP knowledge – I got it to accept first and last names in half an hour.

Just keep in mind that WordPress usernames are case sensitive – you will have a problem with people assuming that capitalization does not matter. Either deal with it in Excel, or try a plug-in: https://n0tablog.wordpress.com/my-wordpress-plug-ins/insensitive/

If you can handle <iframe> tag, this is useless to you. My boss freaked out, so I had to put this together.

Come to think of it, the generic plug-in should flip between two classes: logged-in and logged-out.

For static content KCA plugin may help.

jwurster, this sounds like a possible conflict with some other plugin. Please do try to disable your plugins to see the effect.

1) Log into your You Tube Account
2) Go to “My Account”
3) “Account Settings” -> “Video Posting Settings”
4) “Add a Blog/Site”
You will see under Specific Blog Host Requirements “WordPress Self-Hosted: Requires an API key and the API URL (https://your blog’s URL/xmlrpc.php).”

If you select Blog-Service wordpress.com it justs wants Username and Passsword.

If you select WordPress Self-Hosted it will also demand API URL and API Key.

So…. where does the API key for self-hosted WordPress come from? Or is this just a collusion between YouTube and WordPress.com to keep people from going Self-Hosted?
