In reply to: [Gutenberg] bring back good ol’ editor!Sounds like you’re unhappy about the new block editor being added to WordPress core. Thanks for taking the time to share your view. If you don’t already know about the Classic Editor plugin, feel free to stick with it. ?? If you ever want to give the block editor another try, you might find it’s changed a lot in the last 5 months. A number of dedicated people are working hard on making improvements, so maybe the issues you’re having with the tool have been resolved, not sure. Either way, thanks for working with WordPress!

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Why? Why? Why?Thanks for taking the time to weigh in, Nick! You’re spot-on that the goal here is to make it easier for non-technical users to create content in WordPress. I hope that as work on the new editor continues, you find that supporting other WordPress users gets easier.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] This doesn’t deserve even ONE star!I’m sorry that you had such an unhappy experience with the new block editor! It may be that the issues you are describing in your review have been fixed in the last 5 months, because I’ve been trying to reproduce them, at least as you describe them, but haven’t had any luck.
Where is the ‘Uploaded to this post’ option when adding media to the post?
If you click on the “+” to add a block, then select “Image,” you should see three options: Upload, Media Library, and Insert from URL. If you select “Upload” it will allow you to select a file to upload to your post.
I have spent half an hour trying to change the color of a button!
This document has some helpful tips about formatting buttons, in case you’re still having trouble with this: https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/button-block/
Anyway, if you decide to give this editor another try, I think you might find it has improved a lot since December. If you prefer never to use it, there’s always the Classic Editor Plugin, at least until 2022? ??

In reply to: How does a Participant change passwords?Hi Bob! Usually a user with an Administrator’s role on the site can reset the password for another user, though if the role in this case is “Participant” I’m not sure that permissions level requires a password. “Participant” is a custom user role, I think.
For most user roles, you can click on the user’s name from your list of users on the dashboard, scroll all the way to the bottom of the screen, and find “Account Management.” There should be a button for “Generate Password” that will create a new password for this user that you can share with them, and once they’re on the site they can create another new password if needed.
If the “Participant” user role doesn’t allow the user to log on to the dashboard at all, try upgrading their role to the next level and see if that will allow a password change? Hope this helps. ??
