Thanks. I figured there must be a conflict somewhere. So I use this on the home page only. Makes the landing page look better than the default narrow alignment. And I do not want a featured image on the landing page anyways.

Your plugin puts other themes and similar plugins to shame. They require too many steps to do what you’ve accomplished with a single drop down selector for the width. So many others require editing the padding, the width, and setting groupings, etc etc. Too many steps. Yuck!

Anyhow, thanks again for the follow up and the plugin. Looking forward to maybe using it for real if I find a theme I like that also works with it. Have a great day.

Thanks for the follow up. I have not yet figured it out. Decided to use the plugin only on my landing page, since I don’t want a featured image at the top of that page anyways. Have reverted the rest of my site to using the default template. No harm no foul. Will get back to this after 20+ hours of other work to do. This works well on the home page. Looking forward to making my entire site wide width.
    Thx x2 for replying.

Thanks a ton. I disabled cache and all non-critical plugins. And I ‘Removed’ the image using the sidebar menu within editing the post. Saved the post and immediately logged out. Loaded the page with a different browser, not logged in and the image was still there.

Waited a day to get back to it partly because didn’t want to deal with it … and the image was gone. No clue what made the difference. Is still gone as desired. I’ve logged in and edited the post multiple times since then and the featured image is no longer being forced on me. So, likely is/was a plugin, not the theme. I’ve not re-enabled all of them yet to find out. Esp nothing that affects images or the media library. Or maybe my host has cache I do not know about(?). In any case it looks like all is now well. Sorry to bother. It took days to get this resolved. So thank you very much for taking the time to reply. And thanks for such a nice theme. Is so darned close to what I’m ultimately looking for for my site without having to hire a custom theme. Real real close. Thx x2

This plugin is not the issue. I’d edit my original post but the edit option is no longer available, probably since hours have passed.

In my case the theme itself is the issue. I disabled a bunch of plugins and realized later the theme inserts featured images without asking and offers no way of disabling that feature. Annoying. Anyhow sorry for the confusion.

    Nevermind.
I installed a bunch of plugins the same day I installed this theme. So far I found two plugins that were causing most of these instances. Eliminated all but one leak of my username by disabling everything I installed today. Still have one instance of my username showing that I am unable to track down. May have been something I changed months ago and failed to realize the problem. PITA to track down.
In any case I’m now certain it doesn’t look like this theme is the culprit.
Sorry for the false alarm ??
Wish I could add a question mark (?) in parenthesis to the title of this post.
Now am off to find that last annoying leaker.
Thanks again for the cool looking theme.
