I am running the Village theme since about 2009 without a problem and downloaded it directly from the creator

    Hello:
I do not know, don’t think so as I used a plugin for it before WP lightbox 2.
I checked the header.php and there is a JavaScript reference there.
    Hope this sheds some light.
Also I did not install anythingwhen it ceased working.

Thank you for the fast response. Indeed, they do not what they are supposed to do and link to the page, but that is my mistake, I left the CSS3 Lightbox active, now they work normally.
BUT my problem persists, the single images in my blog (here) do not open in a lightbox nor do the images in a NEXgen gallery (here)
As you see, with mouse-over it shows the location of the media file.
    Thanks for your attention
    Andre
The WP Lightbox 2 plug in is active at the moment, but it makes no change when I deactivate it.

    Update:

    Hello:
I reverted to the previous version as per the clear instructions (good that I read them or I would have lost all my images).
Everything works fine again, the only issue was that, although it showed the gallery I created with Ver 2.0, it could not upload to it and showed an error message as the gallery not existing. I ceated a new gallery with the same name, got a number in sequence, one more than the gallery created with the 2.0 version and everything went fine. However, after deleting the gallery created with the 2.0 version, the number went one back. No big deal nor problem.
Looking forward to a working ver 2.0

    Hello:

Tried that, wp-admin without the www and cookies are enabled and I do not use Skype.

Thanks for the suggestions though, keep ’em coming.

Remember, NO problems when logging-in with Internet explorer on the same machine and running at the same time !

    Hello:
Thank you for your answer and, yes, I have the same issue with wp-admin. It takes longer, which is normal I guess, but I am brought back to the same redirect, same text.
I always get this although I use the correct username and password from the start and whether I start from wp-logon or from wp-admin

    Hello:
I have the same problem/request, anybody has a solution ??

    Andre

    Hello:
Well all I can say is this: ever since I installed and activated the Cube3D plugin, everything works fine with NGG, uploads without a problem and generates the thumbnails without a problem. In fact, I have full functionality in NGG.
This is not machine or ISP related as I work on different machines with different ISP’s. One thing they all have in common is the OS: Windows7. I work even with both IE and Firefox, no problem. I did NOT use the Cube3D plug as I prefer NGG because it does not crop the thumb not even when they are portrait!
This might be a dirty solution but it works and I am quite happy with it pending an upgrade and/or fix of NGG.
My upload limit sits at 30 MB by the way and with this configuration I uploaded 37 pictures in one batch and the thumbnails were generated ! The only difference I see is that the progress bar was docked at the bottom (after the upgrade to 1.8.2) and is now floating (again as it used with 1.8.1).

    Hello:
My gallerycheck show no issues at all, even when it did not generate the thumbnails .
    Andre

OK, now I am completely lost and saved. As I urgently needed a gallery and the NGG did not work, I started looking for an alternative. None really were to my liking. I installed cube3D. It did not show up but my menu of the NGG showed up again. I checked one of my galleries to which I could not generate the thumbnails. This gallery has two pages, on page one I tried before to generate or re-generate the thumbnails. Now, as by magic they were showing. Page two was still devoid of thumbnails. I tried the re-generate thing. The progress bar (floating again) showed and went through its thing. I had to close the window when finished and no thumbnails were showing. I clicked update and wow there they all were!! Now i created a new gallery and the thumbnails were generated at once, no problem.
Right now thus it works as it should, hope it continues until the fix is there.
I just want to share this as it is worth a try and could provide some clues as to the cause.
    Good luck

    Hello again:
In my case it seems to be Flash related, or something. When I want to upload pictures, I select them and then click “upload”. The only thing which happens is that the progress bar at the bottom is added. I then have to click the “upload” button again and things start moving. Sometimes it stops for quite some time but in the end all the pictures are uploaded. Then it shifts to the non-Flash page (as it always did) and adds the progress bar on the bottom (it used to be floating in 1.8.1 now it sits at the bottom) and there it stops. I am pretty sure if it could start it from there that it would work. Now it just sits there, apparently forever.
I hope this sheds some light on where the problem could be.
I really wish I could revert for the moment.
Hoping on a [very] swift solution
    Andre
It does not work with the non-Flash upload neither.

    Hello:
Same here but with a twist. Run WordPress 3.2.1 and 1.8.2 gallery. Everything worked fine with the 1.8.1, no problems. I update and whoosh the menu of the galley vanishes, the galleries are still there but I cannot edit them nor create new one’s. Deactivate all my plug-ins one by one, no change. Post it here, no answer yet. I do have to upload and install galleries, so I start looking for an alternative. Download and install Image Gallery with Slideshow by Anblik and lo and behold, the menu reappears and is functional. Disable the Image Gallery with Slideshow, menu disappears again, so enable it again..
Load pictures, works fine save NO thumbnails and No apparent way of creating any. Tries all of the above, does not work, HELP.
Indeed an option to revert to the previous version would be great.
Hopefully this is resolved soon, I have to upload galleries of a show, it IS urgent.
    Thanks
    Andre
