Hello there,
Thanks for showing an interest in our plugin.
It will not work to have https://www.example.uk, https://www.example.ro, etc. This means directly a multiple domains sistem and, right now, we don’t have support for this.
It is a tracked feature requested also by other users, but for the moment, we don’t have a timeframe for it.Thus the only approach using our plugin would be a multilingual website at the moment.
However TranslatePress works on multisite. You can either network activate the plugin, or do it individually for each sub-site.You can add languages on individual sub-sites in a network install (and choose the languages in which you translate each sub-site).
Unfortunately, we do not support having each sub-site as a secondary language.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hello there,
Thanks for getting in touch regarding your issue.
Since this looks a lot like a conflict with some other code, the first/next recommended step is the conflict test (ideally in a staging environment):
??*Briefly* disable all other plugins and enable the default Twenty Twenty theme. Please also disable all add-ons. If this fixes the problem, as it probably will, enable everything one by one, checking each time to see when the problem returns.
Please let us know when you find the conflict so that we can take a look and see what we can do about it.
Regards.

In reply to: [Translate Multilingual sites - TranslatePress] 404 Error on product pagesHi,
Make sure you have pretty permalinks enabled and working. https://www.ads-software.com/support/article/using-permalinks/#using-pretty-permalinks
If you don’t know how to enable that or have another reason for using it, checkout this addon: https://translatepress.com/docs/addons/language-get-parameter/
I know they are not working correctly because WordPress normally takes over 404 pages and serves a nice error for the user. Your 404 error page comes directly from the server, meaning it’s not configured properly.
Please note Pretty Permalinks require configuration on the server side for it to work. It’s possible you either don’t have Mod Rewrite for Apache enabled or WordPress can’t write it’s .htaccess file with the rewrite rules. Please try to contact your host to debug this further.
Best Regards,
Hey there,
I am sorry for my delayed answer.
You will be needing one such plugin for each subsite that you have.
This is what i mean by language detection method:https://ibb.co/SRyHwHJ
You can find it under the General Tab in Translatepress settings.Looking forward to your reply.
Greetings,
Thank you for reaching us.
There is a specific article in our documentation for what you are trying to achieve.
https://translatepress.com/docs/translation-editor/#translation-blocks
Just scroll down to How to Translate words in different contexts. For translating your string in a specific context you could add your string to a <span> tag. Ex:<span class=”translation-block”><span>string</span></span>
Let me know how this goes or if you have any other questions.
Regards.

In reply to: [Translate Multilingual sites - TranslatePress] Color ChangesHello there,
Thank you for getting in touch about your problem.
Do you think you could provide further description for a better understanding of the issue at hand? What theme are you using? What second languages are you using? Is it happening on specific pages or all of them? Could you please provide a link to where this happens?
Looking forward to your reply.
Regards.
Greetings,
Thanks for getting in touch about your problem.
It’s possible that you have duplicate entries in your database. You can use the Remove duplicate rows option from TP Settings –> Advanced tab to clear them.
If that doesn’t do anything you can try turning off Force language in custom links and Use subdirectory for default language.
Let me know if this improves your loading speed.
Regards.
Greetings,
Thanks for getting in touch regarding your question.
Changing the default language will invalidate existing translations. We can’t keep them because the translations are directional and you’ll also need to change ALL your content directly in the new language.
The default language is the language your content was written in.
If you want another language to be the first language, then simply enable:
* Use TranslatePress -> Settings -> Subdirectory for default language -> Yes
* Reorder the languagesLooking forward to your reply.

So the main language of the website is English and you are translating it to the secondary language which is Japanese?`Changing the default language will invalidate existing translations. Greetings,
About your multisite question, you will need 2 custom plugins like the one shown in the documentation to achieve this. One for each subsite.
Also, could you tell me what method of language detection are you using?Looking forward to your reply.
