    Hello again,

and thank you for your response!

The way the message is presented leaves the impression that while submitting chosen options something might have gone wrong (as it is red-flagged with an X above the setting-section).

Is there anything to do as a reaction of this message from the users side?
    If so, what and where?
    *
Or is it just a “everything-is-fine” message indicating that the settings are good as is and there is actually no need to cache the page?

    Many regards
    A.

    Hello all,
I solved the problem I posted – see above

    1. install.php
    2. wp-config.php

    Solution:
The installation message “already installed” is / was correct
    Reason:
The install.php was that of the second install.
    Suggestion:
Double-check your filesystem and where you put the relevant data. This information is key to refer to the “right” install.php
    Example:
    website/filename/wp-admin/install.php

    2. wp-config.php
The process on how to handle this script is ok with respect to what you need to know and put in there.
In my case I had to add the ip address too (this 1% exception rule) otherwise a message of the kind “cannot find server” pops up within the installation process.

Ergo: The 5-Minute install is a yardstick, if exceeded, something is going wrong! ??

Open to me is, where this language module comes into action – in this case “German”, because the initial design is still in English.

    Hope that helps
    Regards
    Andreas

    Hello all,
I tried to install my third wp (1.5.1.3) on one database.
The first and second installs a while ago were just fine and close to the “5-Minutes” – and still running.
But here I get the message
    “Already Installed
You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first. “

I did change the the config and made sure the prefix is different
I tried different prefixes such as ‘wp_b3’ then ‘wp_3’ and latest the advice ‘wp3_’

    The message remains.
    What can I do?

    Hello trepryor, sproke, all,

first of all, thank you for the last way to do changes in WP – shutting down Norton Security – no irony!

I tried everything in the “doc” and checked the posts here too. Horrible.

Interesting to me, and maybe new is, that i can admin my WP latest version 1.5.1.2 (not update, but fresh install in a subdirectory) with respect to adding new stuff – such as pages, posts etc. so far.

The problem occurs only (referrer), when I want to delete a single page.

    Hi miltownkid.

Using the link provided “https://www.miltownkid.com/footer.php” produced an fatal error.

Thank you moshu for simulating the “audience”. Although the 404 message remains still, it seems that the function in question are working now.

For those experiencing similar things it may be a timelack involved before these changes get active. I don’t know why, but it works.

Well, I found a solution that fit my needs. It may help others, too.
    1. use any (I suppose) photo manipulating software on hand
    2. open the original Kubik header in this program and cut the content out, so the “frame” remains.
    3. open the picture you wish, and fit it in the remaining “frame” (not in technical terms).
    4. Save the new image – the Kubick “frame” and your picture – and name it “personalheader.jpg”.
    5. Store it on your database.

It helped me to solve the problem quickly. It seems not to be the “state-of-the-art-solution”, as if you change the background colour from grey to else, the “frame” will remain grey, as it is part of the picture.

Should anybody find the “high tech solution”, I am glad hearing from you.

Hello. I changed the Kubrick blue background with an individual “personalheader”. Unfortunately the picture exceeds the original frame of the Kubrick background. Any suggestions to adjust that it perfectly fits in the place?

(I already tried various length/width settings with no effect – including this 740px x 200px setting). Thank you.
