alright, so after trying multiple things it seems there was something wrong with the install, corrupted file or something. Ended up removing all traces of plugin then re installing.
All good now, love the plugin.

I have just installed W3 total cache and was also having this issue.
I discovered some unformatted HTML space in the page code.

I replaced the space with   to get the same result and it seems to have fixed it.

It appears that if you use the visual editor this can occasionally happen.

Seems to have worked for me for the moment, so no I can turn minify back on.
