In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Export Photos to WordPress Media LibraryHello
Ok, I think, I see how it works now to import from the WP Media Library into WPPA.
It seems a bit awkward unless you know the month the image was uploaded or you go to the WP Media Library, find/search for the images needed and then work from that point back into WPPA.
Anyway, I will mark this as resolved.
Thank you againAndrew

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Top Ten Photo Album Page Created Every Time in WP AdminHi
Thank you for your reply. I think that you already fixed this because I do not see the “Top Ten” page being automatically created/displayed on the live website anymore (or in the WP backend).
I also just realized that I think I could have used the per-page options to permanently hide the “Top Ten” page after it auto-created. Is this correct?
In the end, I think it’s better that the “Top Ten” page isn’t auto-created for users. A bit confusing for learning/new website builders.
I will mark this as resolved and thank you for your patience and help.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Export Photos to WordPress Media LibraryThank you for your reply.
Yes, I see how that works.
One more question.
Can I add photos from the WordPress Media Library into a WPPA Album?
I only see options to Upload and Import into WPPA Album and both options do not look like they can access the WordPress Media Library.
Are they separate media libraries?
Thank you again for your patience. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with WP, WPPA and this website.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Top Ten Photo Album Page Created Every Time in WP AdminHello
Thank you for your reply, however, the problem is not resolved.
I have the ‘Auto add pages’ unticked under Menu Settings.
But, the page gets created every time I exit WP Admin.
I have to remember to delete the Top Ten Photos page (Pages > All Pages) before closing WP Admin – quite annoying.
I have some kind of WPPA widget in the sidebar on the Home Page (and other pages). Is that causing the problem?
I have other WPPA widgets elsewhere, too.It has been a long time since I worked on this website, but I never had this problem before when working within WP Admin
Thank youAndrew

In reply to: Choosing and Upgrading to a New ThemeHello
Thank you. Yes, there are a lot of themes to choose from if I change from Weaver. It’s just been so long since I’ve worked with WP and managed this website that intimidates me.
I’ve gone through about 90% of the website and all the external plugins and (old) Weaver functions still seem to be working.
I have some broken external links and a few internal ones that I need to correct. Otherwise, I cannot really see anything functionally broken.If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Yet, I still think using a currently maintained, upgraded and supported theme is a prudent thing to do.Thanks

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Galleries not DisplayingHi,
I actually have one more question about this.
When I hover over the images (logos), the arrow does not turn to a “pointy finger” to show that there is a link.
But, the hyperlink action still works.Example: https://www.visitbanteaychhmar.org/getting-here-away/tour-operators/
Is this a WPPA problem, or somewhere else?
All my other images/links etc. seem to be working correctly.
Thanks again

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Problem with Sharing ButtonsOk, thanks. I switched to the icon only style.
I’m pretty happy with the look.If there is a way to “colorize” the icons to the actual sites in the ‘icon+text’ style that would be great.

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Galleries not DisplayingThank you and apologies. When I saw the problem on the website I went immediately to the widgets and saw the different coding and assumed that was the problem. I didn’t check the admin page and see the information about the shortcode conversion.
All is good nowThank you

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Problem with Sharing ButtonsThanks, that seemed to work. I have no idea how that CSS got in there. It says it was from Sharedaddy and I never remember using Sharedaddy. I deleted all the code.
div.sharedaddy {
border: 1px solid blue;
width: 100%;
}div.sharedaddy .sd-content {
border: 1px solid red;
float: left;
width: 100%;
}May I please ask two more questions about this. Is there a way to fix the spacing problem with the icons so that they are all evenly spaced and also a way to make all the icons the same size.
I can write this as a separate help question if you want.Thanks for the help

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Source File UnavailableHi,
I did as you suggested.
But, all the photos still show as unavailable.
Again, the photos are displaying correctly on the website.I checked both of these (to their default settings). I’m not sure why/when/how they became unchecked. I have not gone into the WPPA admin in a long time, and I do not remember ever changing any default settings.
Keep sourcefiles admin Keep the original uploaded and imported photo files.
Keep sourcefiles frontend Keep the original frontend uploaded photo files.
Both boxes are checkedIf this matters:
I also have left the setting at: create all access .htaccess files
I tried resetting it to remove .htaccess files, but it did not change anything.I also seem to have some other settings that are not at default settings. For example, both of these are unchecked:
Use Ajax Use Ajax as much as is possible and implemented.
Ajax NON Admin Frontend ajax use no admin files.
I tried checking them, but it did not change the photos to available.I have no idea how many other settings are not at default. Like I said, I never changed any of these settings.
Thanks

In reply to: [WP Photo Album Plus] Lost Images/Galleries on Some PagesSorry, but that did not work.
I’m not using a cache plugin.Andrew
Hi,
Sorry. Yes, I meant that the “read more” would expand the caption area.
I want to redo this page completely with some sort of (I think) slider or gallery. There is quite a bit of text for each owner.
So, in the “Meet the Homestay Owners” section
– there would be an image/photo of the owner
– caption would have the owner’s story
– “read more” expands the caption area and gives the homestay descriptionhttps://www.visitbanteaychhmar.org/homestays/
I haven’t really come up with any other design ideas that incorporates all the text. Unless, you have a brilliant idea ?? Just thought a “read more” might work if it’s possible.
Thanks
AndrewThanks.
I also realized that I can turn off the comments at the bottom of the media file/image edit page. Just need to remember to do that every time, or use a code or plugin.Andrew
Hi Tim,
Thank you for your quick, kind and helpful reply. Just one more question before I download the plugin and give it a test run.
I actually meant that each image would be able to have a separate link to pages on the website.
For example, a gallery contains 4 images with those images having separate links.
This seems to be a stumbling block that I’ve had with other gallery-type plugins, or they lacked one other feature.BTW, I use Weaver II Pro and Weaver Xtreme themes, if that matters and you’re familiar with them.
Thanks and hope to use Envira if it meets my needs
Andrew
