In reply to: [Twenty Nineteen] Search?I agree with D’Arcy. I like 2019, but lack of search box at top rules it out for me.

In reply to: Let visitors find out how site is customized?I’ve marked this as Resolved.
But if you stumble on it, and have a good means of allowing visitors to site to view its additional CSS, please do reply here with that. I just pasted my CSS into a page about customization.

In reply to: Let visitors find out how site is customized?Yes it does help, thanks very much.
I’m still interesting in seeing additional CSS, amd in letting others see what additional CSS I’ve used.

In reply to: The next official default WordPress theme: twentytenSurprised there hasn’t been more rejoicing, or at least commenting, on this thread. I find Twenty Ten to be a big improvement.

In reply to: Blog Portals/CommunitiesOne of the purposes of WordPress Multi-User (WPMU) is to support the kind of community you ask about. There’s a list of WPMU sites in the sidebar of:
https://andwat.edublogs.org/
I should note that some of the WPMU sites never really got off the ground. And so I should provide some examples of active WPMU-supported communities:

Hope this helps,

In reply to: Recommended Web Tools Site ReviewMy initial reaction is that the design is very busy, with lots of different blocks of the screen doing different things. Amidst this, some of the important stuff is small and obscure. For example, Search is in a tiny font, while Subscribe-to-email-newsletter is far larger and more prominent. I for one am a lot more likely to want to search your site than to sign up to get email from you!
It looks as though you are gathering a lot of information. I hope that these hasty comments help you organize it!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: API endpointThe xmlrpc.php thing worked for me in setting up a “Perspective” from iUpload. Unfortunately, the perspective got a little distorted from that point on. If you’re interested in more, the relevant post to my iUpload blog is at:

In reply to: Alternate full text RSS feeds? This is a good question (and a good answer, and good hint that this would make a good plugin, from K). Some bloggers would like to offer two feeds: one with summaries and no ads; and one with full posts and ads.
