Oops, I found the Publish settings.. Many thanks for the advice.

Unfortunately I can’t find anything on hiding pages under “Appearances > Menu”. I am hunting for “Publish” settings too to try hiding the pages from there.

FYI the config option I mentioned seems to have worked…

I don’t know if it worked in the post I read as no further posts were made by the parties involved. I am just about to try the config option.

My hosting provider said that they had to add it manually as the automated upgrade was not operating properly despite te version.php being present.

File permissions look ok. Heck, this is a pain.

Uploaded the file from the archive but still get the error. I guess it must be the file/folder permissions… I’ll have to double check them.

Ah, I don’t seem to have a file called version.php in the wp-includes folder. Perhaps that’s the issue…?

I’m trying to find something to build a database of bands/entertainers which could be searchable by site visitors. But not been able to so far.

What a great site…. I wondered whether you were useing WP 2.8.4 and Nextgen gallery 1.3.5 as I have installed both and unable to adjust the thumbnails using the thumbnail edit facility in Gallery. I just get the error Error editing thumbnail…. I’ve tried posting on here a few times but no response…. it was all working in the 2.8.3 (I think) and previous Nextgen-gallery.

I too am having problems centreing the thumbnails, or adjusting the thumbnail image which is rendered after using the Edit Thumbnail facility. I just get ERROR UPDATING THUMBNAIL. Anyone else having this error? I have CHMODed various folders to 777 and tried a number of times but still always the same.

Is there a possible conflict between the new version of WP (2.8.4) and the new NextGen….?

I lost the ability to edit thumbnails when I upgraded to both new versions of WP and Nextgen…. Anyone had this kind of problem?
