Ok, that is correct or not – depending on point of view. www.ads-software.com removed my attached URL to my website. Anyway, I checked again in the source code….

…it seems the code come from the paid extension: WP Tweets PRO. Therefore should I start an several request with Plugin-Support?

I have still the same problem and found the problem on different websites. It would be nice to get a fix.

I changed successful to a new modern theme. I don’t need the Add-On “Hidden Downloads” anymore. The download with PHP shipping work without the extension.

I’m not able to tell you what was the problem between the old theme and “Simple Download Monitor”. It looks like, enabling “Hidden Downloads” repair that without I need to change anything to the shortcut or block.

Thank you for the fast new test version. I did the update and it looks really good except one situation.

With the latest version it show me the right number next to the categories. There are two link library for two pages and on one it show me links for a category (and all subcategories) execpt the first tag and on the other all links for the same category execpt the second tag. The numbers for the links in each subcategory is between 0 and 42. According to my check, that is correct.

Categories with 0 links are still there, but don’t use html code for “Hyperlinks”. That is nice and Ok for me. However, there is one failure, if such an empty category is on the first position. It has still the html code for “Hyperlinks” (<a href=…), but use the same link like the top category.

There are no links which use the top category. They only use subcategory. I show the top category for better overview, because it show me a nice title. Additional it is easier to extend both link libraries if there will be new links with new subcategories.

Once the subcategory gets one or more links, the HTML code for “Hyperlinks” is correct.

I hope the explanation was not written confusingly. Have a nice weekend ?? .

I tried the new version from Github, but it seems to me, the result isn’t correctly.

With the new version and shortcut [link-library-cats settings=4], it show me all sub-categories and the number 0 for results. However, that isn’t correct, because two of them should show at least 1.

It would be Ok for me if it show still empty categories, but the number should be correct.

If I start a search with the plugin like https://imgur.com/Ylw3bnW, I see the results with title, but only posts and pages show me preview text, picture, text, category and similar.

If I switch over to the theme search, I see like https://imgur.com/B08hGOE also preview text for custom posts (Plugin Link Library). The same for Simple Download Monitor with Ajax Search https://imgur.com/RuznGHD and Theme Search https://imgur.com/pDdFG7c.

Link Library has an own option for that https://imgur.com/keZ4E74. I’m able to set which text should be shown. Simple Download Monitor have no extra option, but shows the whole content.

It would be perfectly if Ajax Search from the plugin shows also more from such plugins. Hopefully it is much better to unterstand.

Sorry there is at the moment no external site URL, because at the moment it is used on an internal website. My public page should get the same theme OceanWP and maybe the plugin.

Thank you so much. It is working perfectly. Really strange decision from the theme developers… it seems to me, there are more plugins like Link Library which extend post types and includes an excerpt. I will try to write a message to them – maybe they are able to extend the theme for global using in such a case.

According to the problem, there is now a new thread for it.

I did that, but nothing changed. Email is on the way, but Gmail have a strange problem with ZIP-files: This message was blocked because its content presents a potential security issue. Therefore I try WeTransfer.

By the way, I found a problem with the latest Link Library 7.0 and OceanWP Theme if I want use the User Submission. In my case, I’m missing Link Category. I use “Drop-down List” and also tried “Multi-select”.

On my public website it is still working, so that is some strange troubles with OceanWP Theme or… I have recently revised the categories and now work with subcategories. Maybe that is the reason?

I’m not a (theme) developer, but according to my search, the OceanWP Theme use ‘the_excerpt();’ function to get a content for the search. I tried several plugins for excerpt, but nothing helped.

The only helpful plugin extended only the search to find words in custom tables. I’m able to search in the “link_description”, but it will not showed in the search results (only the title).
