  • Adding categories works great. I understand that the categories are not going to show up until a post has been made the selects that category. But, if I want to take a post and move it to one of the newer categories you would think it would show up in the edit post phase, right? My issue is that they should show up in the administrative edit side of things no matter what, right?

Shouldn’t the categories show up when you are editing posts inside of the administrative side of WordPress?

Ok, but what about on the administrative side when you are attempting to edit a post that was already made? How come the full list of categories doesn’t show inside of the edit phase?

I do understand what the original author was trying to say because I ran into the same issue this evening.

I added my categories. When I went back to some of the older postings that had not been placed in their proper category the option to do so did not exist within the post edit phase.

In other words, I have 20 categories and when I went to select the right category to move the post to only two of my 20 categories showed up.

    Make sense?

Hopefully somebody out there knows what we are talking about and can offer up some help.

    Thanks!
