1st of all. you need to learn more about css.
cz i see alot miss from your css. try fix the container and give this code to your contaner css overflow:hidden; it will fixed the wrapper / container.
now for the top navigation… you give hover efect with padding for the hover. but not for your link. so give padding to for you link. it will resolve the upsidedown the navigation…
and last but not the last, try using reset.css
you can search for it ??hope it can help.
