    Yup me too!

I’m experiencing the same issue too on my windoze 2003 server box:

12:27:45 : Error uploading ‘C:\XXXXXX\XXXXXX\somedoc.html’ to Dropbox: Forbidden. Bad input parameter. Error message should indicate which one and why.
    12:27:18 : Approximately 0% complete.

And it looks like the backup fails every time.

And just as you say, dropbox refeers to api changes. https://www.dropbox.com/developers/reference/oldapi

    Thanks.

    Yup!

I do not like Linux – to nerdy for my taste – plus I cannot code in it.. I know my ways around Windoze.. ??

Thank you very much for the suggestion and the link. I do have wp installed – I just thought that it was interesting to hear what people think and what experience folks have ..

I know that there is some commercial options for widows 2003 and up –>

    Thanks for helping me!

Are you asking about changing the password you use to login to the WordPress admin

No – not the admin login in WP ??

I’m talking about changing the DBuser password.

I know how to do it and I can change the dbuser passord in Mysql (through My PHPAdmin / or the mysql console/workbench itself) – but I do not know where to change it in WP.

So basically i goijng to change the DB user in myswl itself. that’s the easy part ofr me.

    1) But I do not know how to tell WP that the password has changed for the WP DBuser 2) and where that setting is in the WP file system (where the DBuser password resides).

    Thanks!

Sorry for the wrong spelling Andy! ??

Try going in your Dashboard to Settings > Permalinks. You don’t need to change anything on the Permalinks page, but just click Save Changes at the bottom. Then check your site to see if that fixed it.

I agree with Andrew – You are a genius, sir!

    Thanks!

So if I understand you correctly, I should just upload my pics to the upload folder in wp-content?

    There is no wp-admin/uploads

Well actually, WP call for wp-admin/uplaods.php when you click on “Media” in the admin interface. Which doesn’t work for me. But that’s different story ??

    Cheers

Just at thought that just struck me.. (after reading tons of articles on the without finding a solution):

Is the default upload folder hardcoded in wordpress?

I have set my upload folder location in php outside the iis inetpub location outside in a another place on the hard disk because of security and the fact that I may want to install other website apps than wordpress and I do not want to limit the upload ability to just the wordpress installation. Now if im right and wordpress is looking inside its installation directory and the directory 1) is missing (i cannot find it) and 2) the files are not uploaded there anyway the connection would just reset without any errors as WP just stops the whole operation and quits.

Just a long shot – I really hope I’m right because (and that it’s the cause of the issue) I’m almost given up on this issue.

And by the way – I have been googling but I cannot find where the uploads folder resides in wordpress..

Is it: C:\path\to\wordpress\wp-content\uploads? – f so.. funny I do not even have the folder there..

    Thanks..

Well thanks ?? but I know how to getaround with windoze, changing to linux would just make it even worse for me as I do not know how to code linux – it’s not user friendly enought for me – but thx for the suggestion. I understand why poeple use linux – but too nerdy for my flavour of preference ??

I’m trying to dig into this issue – but I still do not understand the root cause and why the comp cuts the connection (or what the source is that could cause this is in windoze / iis 6)

I been looking on the google ( the suggestion above) but I do not even know where to look almost, but I’m trying to dig into the info in the google results. Nothing yet, though….

    thanks

    Thanks!

    Just some questions:

How come its just these pages that get reset and not the rest of the php and normal html files that works fine?

Why this behvior on just some of the files and not all of them? aka what the cause of this issue? (normally)

The setup for iis 6 is pretty standard so.. I’m just curious.. ??

I’m not a super duper wiz om copmp. but mostly I can get them where I want so I’m very greatful for all info.

    Thanks a lot!
